Annoying - probably using VOIP so as not to incur long distance charges. Put the phone on the desk while the message plays out to tie up their line as long as possible.

This is an unpublished land line in Narragansett, RI. Don't know anyone there.

The caller calls my cell phone 2 - 3 times a day and does not leave a message. According to a phone search via the internet the person resides in Narragansett, RI. Their phone number is a land line. Stop calling my cell #!

Century 21 takes you phone number when their agent dials your number. Then your number is transposed into the computer system of this company who's number is 4016751375. When the century 21 agent dialed my number, she was calling from 8044939330

How odd? I just reported that this number called me on 2/9/09 (I did not answer). Only a few min after posting I got another call from this unknown number today 2/25 (I did not answer it).

Recorded msg waising my minutes

I have been recieving calls from them since I renewed my cell phone contract. They have also called my home number too which isnt even under my name, so they must have gotten the number****ociated with some account, prob cell. I have an answering ma****e so they know that the number works. They have left childish messages. In fact one asked me if "is this the p.o. box" as if I didnt recognize the su****ious caller. They do claim to be affiliated with some auto insurance company. Young ppl who have nothing better to do work at these places to enjoy harrasing others.Solution suggested:put your number(s) on a no call list and hope it works. P.S. From experience, the list only works until you create/update an account and someone sells your number a***n.

Got a call from them today.  Don't press "2" to suposedly get on their do not call list, don't call back and complain.  Both just confirm to the tele-spammer that they have a "live one", which they profit from by selling the known good number to another tele-spammer.  Don't take the call, report it to the FTC.

When they first s****ed calling they wanted to tell me my warenty expired on my car. itd be nice if i had a car. then they let that up they began to call about a security system for my house if i put a sign in my front yard. i do not have a front yard and if i did i would not like a sign in it. but in the end i am only 17 and still living with my parents but after i have told the caller all of this they still continue to call to put a sign in my yard for a free security system. sounds a little fishy...

I tend to agree with 'Another Victim'.  I've been getting these "marketing" calls for the past few months and suspect they are just someone making money off selling lists of cell phone numbers.  Thanks a***n WhoCallsMe for making sure I don't answer these preditory calls!

Have any of you recently c****ed your address or your phone number? They called my cell about 10 minutes ago. After checking several boards similar to this one, it may be ADT offering a "deal" on alarm service. Both my address and cell have recently c****ed, so I wouldn't be surprised if they purchased it from my carrier or other company that knows I'm in a new residence and wants to offer their alarm service.

If you call them back, you will confirm that they called a legitimate #. I suspect, the calls will continue.They buy these phone numbers in bulk, thru the listing brokers, or credit cards, or the phone companies. I used to work for one of those companies, once the process had ben set up it would take minutes to create a mailing list for the buyer - there were nothing that we would not do to make money.

If you get a commercial automated call from 401 675 1375 just call the number back right away. Once you reach the number, you'll be asked if you want to be put on their "do not call list". Just press 1. And I did. Hope it will work.

Got a call from them a***n... the number looked familiar though so i thought it might be a friend calling from his house phone... looked the number up online real fast & the '2nd notice' thing sounds familiar as well & it's happened to me at least twice before! I don't own a car.

Su****ious number, don't know who they are.  Don't want to waste minutes on time on these sort of con artists.Also received some calls from the Chicago area with some sort of scram.

I got a call from this also. I don't answer my phone anymore unless it is a customer that I know. If it is a customer then they leave a message and I call them back. Isn't there anything that can be done about wasting our minutes on the cell with this garbage?

Calls from this number frequent and im in Ca***a. A recorded msg indicates that "This is the 2nd notice that the warranty on your vehicle is about to expire" According to our Auto dealers ....they have no affiliation with the auto sector here. Heard that if you press 9 it will take you off their call list. Worked for 1 that i did it to...not sure about this one...
