Be careful, the email looks fairly legit, but when I logged into paypal (not from their link), there was no charge, of course. This number has been calling me nonstop for over an hour now. Nearly 40 calls from them. A "paypal" scam

This is the number listed on Paypal, whom how's thi number? Woman? Man? CEo? I asked to escalate the call to the owner or CEO, & the employee on phone refused to do so

Says I renewed with Norton Antivirus. I don't even use them.

These people are scamming and the messages below that are saying they are helpful and offering secondary phone numbers and websites to go to are written by the scammers to get you to call the numbers and to trust them further with your personal information. The only way to reach PayPal is logged in directly through your www.PayPal.com account with your username and password that’s it. Do not call these numbers or go to the websites provided. If you click on the from part of the email it will open up and give you the actual email addresses of the criminals

This is a scam people they are not PayPal they are not affiliated with PayPal, they are cyber criminals and they hack into your identity your personal information your phone your credit cards your bank accounts your PayPal account your Twitter account your social security number…anything they can get their hands on. They have purchased bogus websites called PayPal.com spoofpaypal.com an 800 number and the 402 phone number that you all have charges from. They are bad people report them to the fbi cyber crimes division and also to PayPal. If you have a PayPal account you contact them directly from being logged into your account. Those of you who say you called the number and they were helpful! Lol I bet they were…cause they just scammed you and you are talking to them as if they are going to help you and you are probably telling them more personal information! Ugh!! Delete everything you get from them immediately and do not open or reply to it.

Some good-4-nothing-caller trying to get personal information. I hope they get caught!!

Phishing Received an email after making a payment via paypal

Deepak joshua? or Deepak Israni of pacifica? whichever one they Both deal with Paypal identity theft and call it intangible property after they hack into another persons phone illegaly.

I called a PayPal Customer Service number 1-402-935-2050 and talked with them about a fraudulent transaction on my PayPal account.  They were very helpful.  Yes, there is some hacking going on.  I do not think it is PayPal's doing.  You all might like to contact them and let them knnow what is going on.  Another number for them is: 1-402-935-7733  They, also, have a toll free # 1-888-221-1161.  Check out the website www.paypalsucks.com for more phone numbers.

I had a $50 USD transaction on my PayPal account.  I called 402-935-2050 because it was one of the Customer Service numbers that I found.  They were very helpful.  There seems to be some fraud going on.  It is possible that it isn't PayPal but someone else using their info.  I have been able to track my bogus transaction to Sunnyvale, CA.  I am still working on it.

I am having the same problem. wanting to reach paypal, I saw a toll free number and no other numbers to call. I dialed it and was charge $15.  I then phoned paypal and told them about it, and they confirmed that this toll free number is only for us residents. My guess is that when calling from Canada, that toll free number changes itself into 402-935-2050 and this is why you are being charges.In other words, the system does not recognize that it is a toll free number when calling from CanadaPaypal will reimburse the long distance fees and I told them they should let Canadian know that in order to not being charged, that they should not call that us number and email paypal instead. However, I would highly suggest you email  paypal  in order to let them know about it. if you google this 402 numbers you will notice that we are not the only ones with this problem. Sylvie

HOW CAN THIS NUMBER 402-935-2050 BE CHARGED TO MY PHONE BILL?

I  live in Nova Scotia and according to my phone bill I called this number and had an 11 min conversation with someone. I KNOW I didnt make this phone call cos I wasn't even home the night of June 12th when the call was supposedly made!

In FL.I also received a phone bill for 18 minutes to 402-935-2050. Never called PayPal and never use this phone for long distance. Pay Pal claims ignorance, although I told securiy it's all over the internet from other victims accounts.

I was chaged for calling this number for two different times a total of 10 minutes. Its Omaha Nebraska, and I know for a fact that no one in my family called this number. The charge was only 1.57 but that part does not matter.

I just recieved my phone bill and there was a call made to this number on june 29th for 13 minutes, and i never made this call. How could this number be called when i have not had any visitors, so i am the only one making calls on my phone.

This number is paypal(www.paypal.com), the internet payment transfer site highly associated with EBAY (www.ebay.com). Tey could have been calling you for a number of reasons especially if you attempted to make a payment using paypal and there was an issue.

Just got my phone bill with a $1.56 charge for a long distance call on 06-24-08 to 402-935-2050 in Omaha, NE. I also have a PayPal account, but have never called them for anything.

I got my phone bill with this number on it and a $7.40 charge and we did not call it either.  Who is it?
