Same thing happened for me: 402-935-7733 called, asked me to call the 866-877-4983.Instead, I logged into my PayPal account, went to Contact Us, and called THAT phone number. When the recording asked what I wanted, I just said "My Account" and then pressed 0 for operator. I told the operator what happened. He did NOT have a complete list of PayPal phone numbers. I was transferred to another department. He looked it up and said, YES, both numbers are internal PayPal numbers to their collections department.My account had been negative a week ago and I just payed it last night. They were calling to tell me it was cleared up and my account was ready to use. That's IT.Don't believe me - CALL them yourself, through the contact number in your PayPal account. Of course it is not going to be the same number as their customer service number.

Same here -"This is Paypal and you have an important message. Please call 1-866-877-4983".they called 2 times already! I did not give my cell# to Paypal!I believe, it is some kind of scam!

It's paypal, it's a bot call, you have a negative balance and they want their money

They called me today at 12:25.  I missed the call.  When i tried to call back the line is busy.
