harassing call!!!!!!!!!!

Constantly calling my cell number with NO one there! After saying*****o a couple or more times they **** up. Sounds like maybe a telemarketing?

This number called me and kept asking if they had the right numbe5r and said my name. Ech time I asked wo they were withthey kept asking if they had the right nmber. This went on several times so I ***g up.

I received at call from 402-982-0458. A man asked for me by name. I said, "May I ask who is calling". He kept asking if I was she and I kept asking who was calling--3 times. Then he just ***g up.

This number calls me if not twice then almost five times a day on my cell phone! When I answer I hear people talking in the background or they **** up. It really disturbs me because it's all throughout the day in the morning and night. They answered once and just said you magazines need to be renewed. I asked what magazines I have that need to be renewed and they continued to tell me they just need to be renewed without even saying what magazines. I new it was a scam.

Today, August 24, 2010 at 10:29 AM PST I received a call (Duration 08:25) from a telemarketing company saying that I was chosen as a recipient for a $1000 online shopping spree. I spoke to a lady named Karen(if that was her real name) and she asked me for my age (19) and occupation (student with no lines of credit). She basically told me that in order to qualify for the shopping spree I had to purchase a *free* 5 magazine subscription. According to her, the magazines were free but I had to****ist with the shipping which was 3.83/wk (I'm not sure if it was per magazine or the bundle of 5 but I wouldn't be surprised if it were the former, amounting to $19.15/wk) which they would charge me monthly for. She then told me that I would be transfered to her supervisor to collect my debit card information. After being on hold for a minute or two, the supervisor picked up and asked me if Karen had explained everything to me in a polite manner and I told her yes. She then asked me if I had any more questions before she collected my card info and I asked her how long the subscription would last before I was allowed to cancel. She dodged a direct answer by saying that I couldn't cancel the subscription but rather reassign my subscription to their "vast collection of over 300 magazines." I then reiterated my question to which she reluctantly slurred "the subscription is 5 years." At this point I told her that I was a student and that money was hard to come by. She told me have a good day and proceeded to swiftly **** up the phone before I could tell her to remove me from their calling list. *Note: At no time during this transaction did the company disclose their name which is a federal crime.

Called my cellular phone and disrupted a important work conference.

This number (402-982-0458) calls me almost one or more times per day and almost always ****s up when I answer. There have been a few times when there was someone there and they wanted to renew my subscription to magazines that I do not receive. Once I explained that I don't receive those magazines, and that I don't want to they are usually decent about saying ok, thanks and **** up. A few times they tried to tell me that I have to get them, that the magazines and information were on there way. I have had this same conversation with them a number of times. My caller ID recognizes the number as "Circulation Dep" when they call. If there is a way to make them stop calling that would be excellent.

"Lady" called me about my OK Magazine subscription which I have not renewed in YEARS. I have told at least 20 of these callers (and not all from this number) that I WILL NOT EVER RENEW OR BUY THIS MAGAZINE A***N SO QUIT CALLING! It apparently doesn't matter!

SAME HERE!! They kept on calling me to harassing me every single day. But it was only a one time ring then they **** up on me. I called back and there was a voice command that said, press one (1) to get off the calling list. So i pressed one (1). I dont own any magazine. So freaken annoying.

After days of harassment from phone number 402-982-0458, I have found the culprit to be the publisher of "Super Chevy". I called Super Chevy and told them someone was harassing me from 402-982-0458 about renewing my subscription, that does not expire until 2012. Super Chevy said they don't sell their customers info but the PUBLISHER does. It was then communicated that I needed to request that Super Chevy do not allow their third party vendors to sell my info and also needed to register my number with the  NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST @ 888-382-1222.  Bottom line if you receive or have received SUPER CHEVY magazine YOU NEED TO REQUEST that they do not allow ANY of their third party vendors to sell your info.  I think this is BS, but whatever I am just a paying customers and this just shows me how important my business is to them.  WILL NOT RENEW WITH SUPER CHEVY BECAUSE OF THEIR PUBLISHER!  Super Chevy needs to get better business partners or better business ethics.  I hope this help anyone who is racking their ***in trying to find out with these people are harassing them!

All I have on Caller ID is SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.  No message.  Annoying.

This number keeps calling all times of the day. I've called it back several times to put my number on the "Do Not Call List" but it doesn't work.

called numerous times. Picked up once...no one on line....**** offs!!!

Caller type is "service announcement". No message left, they call 2-3 times per day. I pick up and authomatically **** up without saying anything. So much for do not call lists....

I notice that the area code is from Ne***ska. Appears to be a telemarketer.

I had the same thing happen today. I answered it and they wanted my husband. I asked them who it was and they wouldn't say. I asked them what they were calling in reference to and they replied with asking a***n if my husband was available. I informed them that anything they had to say to him they could say to me as I am the one who handles all the business in the family. I finally said, listen, we don't have any bills that are past due nor apparently do you have any legitimate business with us because I am on all of our bills so if it was a legitimate call they would have no reason to NOT talk to me. So I informed him that if he couldn't tell me what it was in reference to then he need not call back. He asked when was a good time to get ahold of my husband and I told him never because he'd always go through me. It's true because my husband NEVER answers the home phone.He called back a second time in which we had words a***n, then I ***g up on him after he deliberately attempted to **** me off with his ****y at***ude. He called back a 3rd time back to back to the other calls and I just ***g up the phone and didn't even say anything. I did try to block the number but it says AT&T can't block the number which means they are using an internet based calling service like a VOIP (like Majic Jack) which can't be blocked. I did call the number back hoping to get somebody else but it just gives a recording and it does give you the option to opt out however I AM ALREADY ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST! It is so annoying! I opted out so we'll see if they still call after the 72 hour window that it says to take you off their list!I'd really like to find out who this company is and fry them personally!

don't appreciate the calls...no answers...if I get a response on the other end, will curse them to no end...sob's

caller id says "service announcement" I answer and there is no one there-we have been without power for several days, so I thought it had so****ing to do with that, obviously not. They have been calling every day for several days in a row now.

Receiving calls for the last few days from 402-982-0458...first few times, I let it go to VM.  I've picked up the last three, and no one is there; the line cuts off after a few seconds.

They only ring three times, then no one is there.

Called twice today and other days. I reported it to the do not call registry as all our numbers are listed there.

Don't know who or why they call

Elaine, Giving a credit card number to someone that calls you is truly dumb.Hopefully you learned a valuable lesson. If the husband had the CC howwas the charge made w/o it? Makes no sense. Contact your CC companyimmediately and have them make a charge back. You might have to send a letter but you should be okay.

Called but wouldn't talk

Saw this number on missed calls several times.  When I did answer they were telling me to renew my subscription to OUTDOOR LIFE.  I asked when our subscription ended and she told me they usually receive their orders to call about 3 or 4 months before the subscription ends.  She told me the magazine company was getting ready to raise the rate substantially, and that I could renew for 1/2 that price at $72 for three years.  She pressured me wanting credit card information to seal the deal.  My husband wasn't home and he had the card so she agreed to send me a statement.  My husband hit the roof when the statement came, as he had renewed in June of 09 for three years at $45.00.BEWARE

Get a call once a day with a caller ID of "Circulation Dept". Anything I want I already have and pay for so I don't answer.

every day this call comes on my caller ID about the same time each day...annoying and never leaves messages

It was a computer dialed call. When I answered you could hear it click over to an operater. Would not say why they called.

calls and calls, magazine telemarketer; previous number owner deceased; they keep calling anyway; number on do not call list.

readers digest I tell them to take my name off list and this time the girl got rude with me and told me to shut up and listen to what she had to say.

They try to sell tv guide. I called tv guide and they said no company is allowed to sell tv guide except their tv guide company and they do not call people for subscriptions. This is an annoying bunch of people who need to be stopped and put in jail.

I did *69.  They did provide a way to get off the list.  I take this as a reminder to update my do not call status.This used to happen a lot.  It is better now.

calls almost every day but only rings once. soooo annoying

This is so annoying!!!  Calls all the time.  Won't answer because of caller ID, however, it still disturbs the household!

Might be from Barrons magazine, Automobile or The Week.

Calls every day for the past week, more than once per day, leaves no message. Someone who obviously doesn't want to be known.

Two calls within the last two days to my home phone. Caller ID says "Circulation Department." Didn't answer it.
