Leave a CommentDon't bother. Non-profits and political orgs are exempt from Do Not Call.
How odd that they ask you, in English, to go to their web site, when the site is in Spani*** Try this link for an English translation:http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&s ... microsoft:en-us
These calls are from the Venezuela Awareness Foundation. Apparently a non-profit organization, which is therefore exempt from the do not call law. DOH!!!
Got the same call today here in Dallas, TX. 206-445-6566 (Seattle metro area code) Liborg.com. 1:41pm
Same here in CA (Los Angeles). I do not know the time of the message for liborg.com. The website is about Venezuela. I believe this matter should be investigated by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) as a Federal matter.
Mine came at 4am from 402-982-0763, LiborGdotcom. Very annoying.
got a call at 1230am. said to visit the liborg.com website....
I got this email from a call from 1 206 445-6569 too.Can we stop these emails and scammers?
I received a call from 425-291-8412 supposedly out of Renton, WA from LIBORGDOTCOM at 1:00 AM this morning, I did not pick up. Apparently these calls are coming from various locations.
Thank you for the suggestion to do my own investigation. After following your advice, I discovered that your word is worthless.
Same story for me. Called at 4:15 pacific time. Caller ID state liborgdot.com
I got the liborg.com robo-call at 6:30 this morning, but from 702-520-1391. Whether they're scammers or an actual charity, you think they would figure out that waking people up is not a good way to get their money!
Got the same call, but from 978-570-2231(Supposedly in *****chusetts), so****ing about a donation to liborg or Lee Borg or some such nonsense. If you call back, it gives you the "Press 1 to be removed from our list" option, which (even if they actually did it) doesn't work here at my work, as we have VOIP phones & it'll show my direct extension phone number, not the ***nch phone number that it's ringing in on.
You are lying. This has absolutely nothing to do with the "Progressive movement." And you did not find any information that would lead you to believe that. A simple google search would reveal that this is a phone scam and that you would be re-directed to a Venezuelan number and then be charged. You are blatantly trying to frame a group of people that you do not agree with. You should be ashamed. People like you are destroying this country.
Got the same call today at about 4:15 CST from 206-445-6569 with a recorded message to visit the website at liborg.com. Checked it out and it is some Venezuelan aid organization website. Am reporting this to Indiana Secretary of State's "do not call".

After some reletively easy google searches I found that this organization has roots in the Progressive movement that we hear so much of today. They advocate prosecuting practically the entire Bush Administration for the War in Irag and Afganistan as well as a host of other extreme, left leaning political ideals and social issues. I would suggest you do your own investigation and not take only my word.
I just got that same message, from the same number. They must be testing for active numbers. We can report them to donotcall, I think.
I received a call from this number at 7:30 am. Liborgdotcom 1 206-445-.6*** When I called back, they said to press 1 if I wanted to be removed from their marketing program. I am on a do not call list.... what can we do about this company?? (I tried to find their website and it is non-existent......) who can we contact about this fradulant practice??
Received a call at 0600hrs. PST (US). "Caller" - digital voice recording representing an organization known as "Liborg.com" ("We are in desperate need of your****istance."), requesting I access their website immediately for further information. Did not return call to # posted on Caller ID screen, as last time I did so in a similar situation, I incurred a toll charge for the call placed, which was routed to Ca***a. Research does reflect that the "402" area code originates from Omaha, NE (US).
