Some type of call about my credit card but curious if this is some bogus way of getting personal information.

This number continously calls, but there is no one on the line when answered. Why can't we find out who it is?

I have been getting calls from this number too, and some have been saying it's a port phone for Skype and to send complaints to them not to Telus.

every day for the past week, i have been getting calls from this number. they don't say anything, they just sit there.

We are constantly receiving calls from this No at all hours of the night. Shaw our provider say thay can do nothing. We have tried to call back this No and are advised that it is an outgoing call line only. We have a very sick member of the family back home and as such ignoring incoming calls is NOT an option. Our anger at whomsoever owns this line goes beyond words. Surely their activities are illegal - Can they not be brought to justice ???

We are constantly receiving calls from 403 234 8169 at all hours of the night.  We have a seriously sick member of the family back home and as such ignoring an incoming call is NOT an option !We have reported this issue to our service provider "Shaw" but as usual they are as much good as a chocolate fire guard and say they cannot block the No.Attempted traces indicate it is an outgoing call line only ..Our anger and disgust at the owner of this line goes beyond words. Surely their activities must be illegal. Can no one do anything ?Judging by the number of complaints a***nst this No I find in blogs etc.. It would appear putting in complaints is a total waste of time..as judging by the number and dates of complaint this caller has been on the go for ages without action being taken.

Whether it's VOIP or a service like "Bluff My Call" (Google it), you can be sure it is nothing more than a scam. If a scammer keeps calling or faxing you there is probably nothing your phone company can do about it. You either pressure them to c****e your number FOR FREE or tell them you will cancel your service and switch to another carrier. And there's the other issue of why anyone would have a permanent land line phone number or internet connection in these days of "wireless" computers and "throw-away" phones.Hell, I can buy a throw away phone for $60 at 711 that has a function to BLOCK unwanted numbers from ever calling a***n, and wireless internet is free if you know how to find it. Oh, and email is free, fax-to-email programs are free, so why would anyone ever put up with all this spam **** when it is truly avoidable.

Got a call from this number early, early this morning, before dawn....they called about 3 or 4 times in a row and when we answered the last time they just ***g up....then when I was up for the day I called the number to see who it was and the operator came on saying the number had been disconnected.....very strange...

Just hooked up this phone on nov o7 and got a call from 403 234 8169 on nov 08. Was curious as to whom this number belongs to cause I haven't given out my number yet. Was pleased to see this site because I forwarded skype to my phone and thats where this number is probably from.

Calling at 11:50 p.m. on a workday and ****ing up (x3) is very rude!

I receive calls from this number every morning offering me free calls to India and ****stan ... the guy told me that he is calling from Houston USA .... despite my denial they are still irritating me and they continue calling every morning ... I don't know what to do about them.

This is a SKYPE port phone.  It is a local relay for skype to allow people to place local calls through.  Contact skype for complaints, Telus cannot****ist you.

This number just called my cell phone and then my work line. I'm not listed and my work line is internal only, only my bank has both (BMO). Weird. I missed both calls, when I try to call back I get a recording saying there is no such number!? What the heck?!

Fax keeps calling

unknown number called strange noise mr was strange ****ed off and they called back. and mr called back over 5 times. had calls ovs and tried to call and phone number no longer exist.

im a female, and i got a call from this number, the female caller asked for someone, i belive she asked for nicole, but i couldnt tell very well because of her phone voice. she knew what soccer team i play for, and said she would soon be at my home, for a 'date.' i dont know whats going on, originaly i thought it was ***** dialing, or a prank, now im not sure and im really worried. the number is****igned to a house in the south west of calgary, but i dont know how it would know such private information

This number calls us three times in the morning and three times in the evening.  It has been a fax when we answer, but now we just don't answer.I think we've had enough.

This number also keeps calling. It sounds like an Asian lady on the phone asking for private information. Another woman from the same number also keeps calling asking for a Nicole (I don't know a Nicole). In Ca***a you can report the number t0 1888 495 8501

CALLING FROM LAST 5 DAYS

I AM GETTING CALLS DAILY FROM LAST 4 DAYS FROM THIS NUMBER. SOMETIME MALE AND SOMETIME FEMAILE ASK ABOUT ME. BUT WHEN MY WIFE ASK FOR ANY MESSAGE IN MY ABSENCE THEY ****UP THE PHONE.

this phone called my home, when I answered, no body was there. When I called this number back, it says this number is not in used. very strange!!!!

got a call Mar 9/2009 from this number.  we are a business, and they were looking for the owner or the "boss".  They wouldn't accept going to his voicemail.

called swearing at every person who answers the phone... s****s off with*****o can i speak to the owner... ask for credit card numbers... once we decline the offer, the caller uses very nasty words... the first time he called it was for internet web page, the second time he didnt give a speach for what he wanted he s****ed swearing right away, third time he said he was calling from a credit card company

I received a disturbing call from this number and want to know who it is.

This piece of s**t person gave me a call this morning asking a 8 digit number if I already a send money in western union for 185 pounds. HAH! i got his number and he gave  me a second call. What I found here? is all that I read, thanks guys and in this web I appreaciate this all.

NO MESSAGE REPEAT CALL

This number calls my house phone all hours of the day and night....i never answer it, however, when i call it back it says "this number cannot be completed as dialed" - I'm****uming it's some sort of fax???? You think they woudl realize they are calling the wrong number when none of their faxes ever reach the intended recepiant!!!! - so annoying!!!

I got this number at 5:30 a.m. It was someone who I previously corresponded with on the internet from a dating site, and who was supposedly working overseas and until this call, had called me only from an African area code cell phone. Turned out to be a real con involving credit card fraud. This guy is networked and there is probably a number of them doing this to countless vulnerable women.

I got the same number early this morning. So what I do is try to look the number up on the internet and this is what I found, same number as the rest of you. That's creepy though, cause I didn't pick it up on my just denied the call and it stopped. Number# 403-234-8169 extremely creepy.

Phone rings-dead air and **** up.  I called Rogers (my provider) and they can't do anything for me.  I'd like to strangle the people behind this as well as the phone providers for allowing this to continue

I got a call from this number, but oddly, it was a fax...it kept beeping at me, but no one spoke. I am pretty sure I have received more than one call from this number.....

I don't use Telus, but I still received a fax call from this number.....

I Called it Mar 4/2008 and Telus recording says "this number isn't in use"  B*llsh*t - TELUS is facilitating these nameless telemarketers or w***ver they are...

This number calls all the time on our home line and it is for a fax!  Don't they get it that this number is not a fax.  It is annoying to get this call every day!

I get calls from this number on my work phone...it appears to come from a fax line since all I hear is the fax tone.

Called my house, I picked it up and there was just dead air.  Sounds like some sort of auto dialer.  Hasn't called back yet...
