I redialed this number and got a primus error message. In investigating Primus, It is funny to note that Primus customers can block unwanted phone calls.
this number call me up 3 time, 3:30am 6am 7pm. when you called back u got a dial tone. You can hear someone is talking in the back ground. very annoying.
The caller s****ed to leave a message, "Urgent call for ####" and when I picked up in mid message, she asked for this specific person, but his name is unknown to me.
jane-rec'd mutiple phone calls on 403-444-4970. I can't firgure out who is calling. Can't call back. Does anyone have a clue what this is about. They call and call and never leave a message.
The number is just a disguise used for many different purposes for locations you just can't call back. People using phone cards sometimes appear as this number. Some of it is auto telemarketing, or faxing where people are hiding behind it.My friend just called me from it as I was looking into it, he told me he was using one of those pre paid cards you buy from 7-11.
Called, when called back no answer.
The number is a local number here in Calgary, Alberta, Ca***a, in fact once a***n it just called at 6:00am this morning. last week it was 3:00am and the week before that 3:30am. I just got off the phone complaining to Telus, A***N! They will do anything about it unless I want to pay for the Number Blocking Service, then they will block the number. I'M NOT PAYING FOR ANY SUCH SERVICE! THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS!Sooner or later someone will post the location of that number here in Calgary and someone is going to get a fax ma****e shoved down their throat.
For me I just figured out it was my calling card. I use my calling card when I'm out of town to call home and I guess this is the number that shows up. I didn't realize what it was and blocked it, and after that I could no long use the calling card to call ho****e calling card is FoneBuster Flat from PrimusMy guess people are using calling cards to mask their own number
I had a missed call last night. Glad I did not answer. I will let my friends know not to answer if they receive a call from this number
Well. It's a good thing I did not try calling this number. Someone from (403) 444-4970 tried calling last night but I was away from my phone and they left no message. However, this number showed up on my missed calls listing.I'll advise anyone who sees a number and does not recognize it, simply don't answer. Worst case: if they are sincere, they will leave a message.World is funny these days. No "free lunch" and lots of scammers out there. Be careful.
They called, and it said so****ing about a survey but was very choppy so I****umed it was a prank call and ***g up.

These spammers are an epidemic on society and I do everything to stop them. Last night we had no less than 3 different spammers try to send us a fax in the wee hours of the morning. I simply unplug the phone line from the fax ma****e and we only use it to send out faxes to dinosaurs that don't know how to use email yet. I just plug the line back in to send a fax out and unplug it after it's done. The fax ma****e will be thrown out and NEVER replaced once it dies. It's now 8 years old and if it lasts much longer I will ***** it and put it our of our misery.I also received a call from this number on my throw-away cell phone which was purchased from 711. It has a great function on it to block numbers. Once you enter the number into this cheap phone, it will never ring a***n or leave a message if that number calls.

These people have been hounding me for over one year. They try to send a fax on my business line that is not capable to receive faxes. They call at any time of day or night. Early am calls are their favorite. I run my business from home and there is no escaping them. My mother has been is very ill in the hospital for the last 6 months. 2 am phone calls put me in a state of great distress. But let's face it, who gets good news in the middle of the night? Cannot find out who these people are & have tried to block this # to no avail. I have also heard that Ca***as' national do not call list was sold to other countries so am hesitant to use this tactic. So this is to 403-444-4970 - "May the fleas gf a thousand camels infest your armpits"

I contacted Allstream and was advised that they are a national wholesale carrier. The number is actually a customer of Primus.Seems funny to me that this number is used for many different purposes - some people receive calls with surveys, others telemarketing scams - some people say Rogers or Telus, and we get fax calls from the number. Can't add to NDNCL because they need a copy of the fax - can't do that if you don't have a fax ma****e, which we don't! Can't be blocked when using our phone company's screening service (for which we pay). Oh, and we have recorded calls from this number ANY time of day, including 1am and 3am, and even on Christmas Day!I contacted PhoneBusters for any suggestions (no reply yet) but now I think I will contact Primus and tell them what a bad customer they have, perhaps also with links to all the pages of complaints I have found. Obviously this number is used for non-legitimate purposes. The more complaints they get, maybe will make them look into it.
The service provider of this number is allstream
They phone with some dumb survey, makes you wonder if it's charging you money.
Have been keeping track of the calls from this number: 403-444-4970 since October 2008. Have recorded some calls before 6am and the worst one, on Christmas day if you can believe it! They always come as a fax, though we do not have a fax ma****e. Have tried to send a fax (free online site) to ask them to stop but never works. Have also tried reporting to the DNCL but so far that hasn't worked either... since they require a copy of the fax you received... how to do that when you don't have a fax ma****e!
I want this****whole to STOP calling, all hours....
I got this call twice, it's a company from Vancouver, and the people doing some servey. however, they are not nice, if your answer does not met their requirement, they will say " you to die and f*** you" , that makes me very angry.
Got dial tone after calling back that number
Hi. This number is a payphone from the Lake Louise Area. It is not any sort of mystery. The calls are likely from a number of people and that is why there are a number of things happening. People get wrong numbers. :)
Got a call from this number. Voicemail picked up and ran for a few seconds with some quiet background noise. I've no idea who it is.
Called twice from this number. When calling back, only got an endless normal phoneline connection tone followed by a busy tone. Not understand who tricks people this way.
I had recieved a call from this number, but i had not answered it. However there was voice mail from the caller. The caller said "Hello" two times in a questioning tone... The only reason i would ask this is because there is someone i am trying to avoid, and it made me concerned that it could be this person!
I just s****ed getting calls today, when I answer they don't say anything.Did anyone else recently order pizza from Pizza Hut and have a really ****ed off driver deliver it? I'm wondering if that dude keeps numbers.
