This ******** phoned me today as well saying he is from the Ca***ian Police wanting to solicit money.  I told him to phone 911 and ask for the police and ***g up.

they are soliciting donations on behalf of the police like support for children etc. seems strange - why should police ask for donations? also, they asked for a credit card number to pay.

Just received a call from (403) 770 - 0543. The caller, who sounded Ca***ian, said he was calling from the Ca***ian Police****iciation and was solliciting donations for a police program called "Safe Kids". I told him I need a written request, by mail, in order for me to consider donating, and that I make all my donations once a year in November (& I do so by Cheque). I offered him my mailing address but he was very agrressive and wanted me to commit myself to a donation of $20,00 or more before he would agree to spend money on postage. I ended the conversation with a comment implying that I suspect his call to be a scam.As I write this I think back to my 7 years as a Citizen On Patrol member and I never heard of the Police soliciting funds for any organization.Ed L. I have got a call from 403-770-0543 the guy said he is  from Police****ociation, they are raising fund  to protect child  and youth ... I said  I can't afford then  he push me to gave at list $25 and a credit card. I refuse to give a credit card on phone but promised to send a check. I am a new immigrant, the place I came from we fear a Police,  Even if I am a good Citizen  I think I scared the word Police and promised to send a check.

1 403-770-0543 just called in an attempt to solicite funding for ***ual predator education. When I said 'no' that I prefer to donate the RCMP station directly, they dummied down the amount they wanted. I insisted 'no' a***n and they got rude. Needless to say, they met Mr Dial Tone.

I got a call today from this number. A very strong african accent. He said that the Police****ociation was asking for donations to support the police to appear at local schools in our area (northern AB) to warn students about ***ual****aults..it smelled fishy.  I didn't think the Police, who are funded by the government would be appearing at public schools, also funded by the government.. I googled the Ca***ian Police****ociation and am emailing them to let them know about this scandel.

I just received a call from this # and like others did not get to the phone in time. I called it back and got a recording that it was the general information line of the Ca***ian Police****ociation. The CPA's contact # is in Ontario, not Alberta! This is like the old "send a child to the circus" scam.

I received a call today from the above number.It was from a man with a strong african accent going by the name of James.He claimed to be asking for donations on behalf of the Ca***ian Police****ociation.  He said that the money would be going to support officers going to local schools to warn students about ***ual****aults/****s.  He asked for $75 for 3 children and (I believe) $50 for 2 children or anything I could contribute.It sounded funny that the police would be asking for funding for such a thing?I ***g up and did not contribute.I found a site that had others with similar problems. http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-403-770-0543#pRWUPF06gQwA3IgjL5Q2WYg

They just called here, did not get to the phone in time so I called them back,it was a recording "we are presently experiencing technical difficulties, please call back in 48 hours" One of these days I will catch one of these *******s, I cant wait!Dave

This is a scam number. It is not the police. It is used to collect credit card information from unsuspecting people. Beware!
