i have money for leukemia kids

I received a **** UP call from this number.  That only makes me NOT want to donate to their "charity".  Are they a legitimate charity?  I checked out the web site.  Very little info on the site.  I emailed them and said such calls are a total turn off.  Is it offs**** telemarketers who have no manners?  Are they american telemarketers who are just plain rude?  the number on call display means nothing.  I have received other **** up calls and when i call back I get "this number is not in service".  How can that be?  the scammers are obviously smarter with technology than I am.  Or maybe i an just too honest and polite.

I received a call today, and the rude insistant man on the line said he was raising funds for Lukemia research.  After listening to his speal, and telling him I don't give information on the phone, but said if he mailed it to me I'd look, he tried to tell me I he wasn't getting through to me.Anyway, with his at***ude, and the google history of this number, I believe that it is a scam number being used.  I would advise not to give money to this phone number.

As a mother who of a child with leukemia, I was very disgusted to hear that one of my co-workers received a call from this number, and was very rude to her.  He phoned last year, and rudely insisted that perhaps her donation would be enough to find a cure, after she repeatedly told him that she donates to other charities, and is not interested.  He made her feel very guilty for not donating.  Plus, you should NEVER donate over the phone.  He phoned a***n a few days ago, and a***n was very rude.  I've been dealing with my daughter's illness for 2 years now, and have never heard of this foundation in Alberta.  I do see that there is a foundation of that sort in Ontario, but I have no idea how legit that is either from the information that I've read on their website.  They don't give you a contact number, only a number to call to donate.  Their donation form only has an address, no phone number.  Whatever you do NO DO DONATE ANYTHING over the phone.

DO NOT DONATE TO ANY CHARITIES THAT CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.They called me a***n this morning which I did not answer. And I had received a call in the past from them which I declined to donate and asked to be placed on their do not call list and was told that charities are exempt from do not call lists. Anyway, I did some digging and it turns out that most of these charities, which having very official sounding names are basically a scam. They keep most of the money you donate and actually funnel some back to the guy who founded them. There was an expose a while ago in the Toronto Star about this guy and his charities below. This number called me this morning and I did not answer. I have received a call in the past from this number where I was pressured to donate and made to feel guilty about not donating. I asked to be placed on their do not call list which clearly did not happen.It's basically a scam. Most of the money does not go to Charity at all. And some of it winds up lining the pockets of it's founder. Here's an article detailing the whole scam this guy is running from the Toronto Star. Received a call from this number on January 4, 2010 at 10:27 a.m. (CST).  The caller was extremely rude and would not get off the phone even though I explained to him that this was my business number and that I was busy.  I also explained to him that I donated to a variety of charitable causes and that I did not wish to contribute to his organization at this time.  He brushed me off by asking why I wasn't prepared to****ist in leukemia research.  Without question this was the rudest solicitation for funds that I have received in a very long time.  Also, I'm in Saskatchewan and I don't understand why the solicitation is coming from Calgary, Alberta!

It is actually Xentel.  Kind of tricky to get an actual person, but once I did.  I asked him politely to remove my number from the list and he said yes, that he would do it.  Hopefully he's an honest person.

The company attached to this phone number is a telemarketing firm called Zentel.  I have been asked to be removed numerous times and they just keep calling, for different charities each time.  Actually complained directly to one of the charities last year, telling them that I would no longer donate to them because they use this company to make their calls.  I listened to their speach and said that I couldn't afford to donate at this time.  Received four calls from them in the following week asking me to donate!  After I said no!

Called this afternoon. Caller was rude and insistent after I mentioned I do not entertain unsolicited requests for donations, or even information from charitable organisation, over the phone (we have our own system of organisations we donate to). Kept insisting that her job was to "*****s the amount of monetary donations" I was willing to make. Caller won't get off the phone and her aggressiveness dissipated any form of goodwill.

Child Lukemia charity, called them back at 1800-619-6103 and got removed from list.  Be careful when AFTER your press "9"...voice is cut off and all you hear is press 2- don't- press 1 a***n and this will remove you from their call list- SO THEY SAY.  Why is an Alberta charity calling people in SASK?

Repeated calls from this number. 5-10 minutes inbetween calls every evening for the last week. Its now March 19th. ****ody on the other end.

Got called by this number over 20 times today.  It's still calling me after 10 minutes!!! Picked up and no answer. no message left. Who is this number????? $@#&!@!

I got 2 calls from this number today.  One when I was not home, and no message was left.  Later one when I was home.  They ***g up when I answered.
