I believe this to be a scammer. Tried to hire me for a job that the house turned out to be owned by someone else and was currently listed for sale. Wanted to send the whole amount for the project instead of just the deposit but didn’t want to meet up as he was out of state. This is not the first of this type of scam that I have come across.
