Caller ID: Southeast Call404-494-7938The answering ma****e picked up before I could answer. The recording sounded cut-off but this is what is said;We suspended your ATM card. Please press #1 to be transferred to our security department to reactivate your account. They left no phone number so I called 404-494-7938 back and the line had a very fast busy signal.I called my bank to see if it was them and they said it wasn'tTherefore, it must be bogus
Just got a call from this number on my home phone (landline). It was an automated, recorded message informing me that my Flagstar Bank ATM had been cancelled due to fradulent activity. Since I don't have an account at Flagstar, I tried to follow the prompts to see if I could get to a live operator. No luck. The automated service did ask me to enter my 16 digit ATM number though. When I Googled the number out of curiosity, it looks like w***ver owns this number runs quite a scam. Other postings said caller was notifying them of scratch-off card winnings, conducting a survey, offering to lower credit card rates, etc. Don't answer for this number!
This phone number called my teenage daughter at college last night saying her ATM card had been cancelled, and requesting she speak to a representative. Thankfully, she had her head about her, ***g up, and called me to ask "Why would the bank call me? They don't even have my number". Many thanks to you folks for the info you provided.
we have received multiple calls from this phone number (404 494 7938). I contacted Southeast Credit Union (located in South Carolina) to report it to them. Their website discusses scams similiar to this type of call.
Just got a call from this number. Automated voice advising me they were from the Federal Credit Union and my ATM card had been deactivated due to fradulant activities. (YEAH, THEM!!!) To reactivate it, I needed to put in the 16 digit card number, ex date and 3 digit code on back..... YEAH,RIGHT!!!!!
I know a person who lives another part of the states and swears they are in their home state my caller ID had this name SOUTHEAST CALL and phone number 4044947938. This is too weird.
Calling to tell me my phone number won a free, prize-winning scratch card. Yeah, right.
Had a call from these people. Did not answer. Caller ID says "Southeast Call." Apparently, they have an automated message that begins when the answering ma****e picks up, so they left a partial message. Some nonsense about their having cheaper insurance. Recommend blocking this number or never answering it.
I had 2 kids napping and they call same time every day. I finally picked up and was informed I won a $500 Walmart gift card as part of customer appreciation month. They knew my name and the Walmart I shop at (closest one to my house, mind you). Very tricky and convincing. The catch--where he *****ed up: I would have to pay a one time delivery charge of $4.40 to get my $500 sent to me. I told him if I truly won so****ing, they'd already know my address and send me the card. He continued. I finally ***g up... I could hear other voices. I figured it was a call center. Very sneaky. Heaven knows I could use a $500 gift card, but the last thing I need is a scam. Good luck!
They use multiple phone numbers, including (678) 954-4444 and (404) 494-7938. It seems to be these creeps: Teleplaza (dot) com . They hide behind multiple phone numbers with "apparent" presence in multiple states. Looking on their website reveals all of the lovely ways they try to turn a buck. They mostly appear to be in the "business" of providing outsourced abuse of people's home phone numbers and privacy. Like most ****s, they don't want you knowing much about who they really are (try finding out on their web site - good luck).
