A debt from a credit card three years old. I told him I didn't recall this and he gave me an address to send a dispute to.

They call me at least twice to three times a week. All different hours.

Portfolio a***n....keep calling a**holes, I never answer and never will...the debt is well past SOL (10 years and counting) You didnt want the money before, and you arent getting it now...I will continue to ignore your calls every day for the rest of my life if i have to...You aren't getting a penny from me now.....Take that to the bank, a** clowns.

The Wall Street Journal posted a story about Portfolio Recovery****ociates, using the signature of a woman named Martha Kunkle, who died in 1995. Although she died in 1995, Kunkle's signature has apparently shown up on thousands of affidavits submitted since her ***** by Portfolio.

Just called me on a Sunday afternoon. Also repeatedly calls my cell. This did not s**** until I upgraded my cell to Android smartphone. Coincidence? Also just bought a ***nd new car - showroom new. My credit is squeaky clean. Will never answer unrecognized numbers. Suggest same to all. Portfolio Recovery****ociates are the lowest of the bottom-feeders.

They know no limits - calling day & night - i have 16 of their numbers stored in "Do Not Answer" on my phone. Trying to collect on 10 yr. old debt, waaaay out of statute of limitations for any State in the USA. I answered the first call a few months ago & talked to a very rude chick. She kept asking if I was the person she was looking for & I said "no" but that didn't stop her from being a total b. I ended up ****ing up on her. Last call was from FL. Once they called like 7am & I answered. The lady asked for such & such & i told her I didn't know anyone by that name. SHe said 'can i leave a message?' and I said I don't know who she's looking for & she said "OK" and ***g up. Heh. Guess harassment wasn't her strong point :-) I doubt she has a job there now. Don't admit to anything. Search for a list of their numbers & program them into your phones so you don't answer them by mistake. Life's much simpler without having to deal with these idiots.

They called me about a debt for a friend -- I asked for the last 4 digits of any phone numbers they had on him.  The phone numbers they provided did NOT match any phone numbers he has had for the last ten years!!!Fascinating...

Yes they call at all hours of the day and night. Doesnt matter what day it is either. They are calling on a debt that was charged off in a bankruptcy in 1994 . I have tolfd them that the debt was charged off in bankruptcy in 1994 but they insist i still owe it. I checked with my attorney and we are now suing them. They are s*** and very unethical and dishonest. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!!

404-592-5171  called my unlisted cell phone and asked for my husband.  They want payment on an acct charged off 11 years ago.  Do not call these people back as your call can be misconstrued as an acknowledgement of a debt you are no longer obligated to pay.  Save your sanity and save the number as "Do Not Answer".  They are pond s*** who try to trick the uninformed into paying off debts that have passed the statute of limitations.  If this debt was an issue, would I have been able to buy a house without paying it off?

I blocked all of Portfolio's numbers that they called on, plus others I found on a google search. It looks like they have added new numbers with out there name as to trick people. I have never answered any of there calls as I know when they confirm your name they will up the calls and such. I have no over due bills, and have nothing on my report for many years.

It wouldn't matter what you tell them, truth or lie. They will keep on with calls and **** comments and threats. Just ignore it. I get calls from ALL of these recovery places, ever since I got a non-contract cell phone. Don't want to use up my minutes because I'm sure its probably a computer calling. If I thought I would be able to just tell them, "Hey, I'm not w***ver used to have this number" then I might answer, but I'm scared to risk it.Anyone know if there is an actual person on the other end so I can get it over with and explain its a new phone number for me & I have no idea who used to have it?
