I also received an email message claiming that I had a fax. Note that the link for the fax will actually open a zip file, which is very su****ious. I searched the internet for information about the zip file (efax_4053146690.zip) and apparently it does have a virus. Another big clue that the message is a scam is the fact that there is no indication of who sent the fax.

This is the third time I have received the same e-mail. GMail had directed straight into my SPAM message box so I have not tried to open it at all. It is nice to know that I am not the only one dealing with these people. When I searched for the number online one of the google results brought up information that stated that this number originated in Vietnam. Who knows? A lot can be done with routers and the internet these days. DO NOT TRUST THIS MESSAGE.

This is a scam - possibly downloading viruses when you click to receive it. Since I received it on 4 different email addresses within one hour - it's doubtful this is anything but scam/spam or worse. Do NOT link to find out the fax. At best it's spam - at worst you will be exposed to malicious software.

So, my guess is a virus is sitting there waiting for me to jump on it. Calling this SPAM of Phishing.

Just got an e-mail stating I had an e-fax message. Since I do a lot of e-faxing, I went as far as going to the page in internet explorer. When I noticed that I did not know the website address, I did not open. Glad to see others are informing of the same fraud issue.

Received a s**** message from eFax saying I had a fax from this phone number. Examining the source of the email reveals that it leads to an attempt to install malware on my computer.

I got exactly the same email as Denise from this number. I use efax, and it looks very legit. But for some reason my instinct told me to do some research . Everything listed below is exactly as it appears on my email too, right down to the exact time sent.
