Called me at 6:30 am this morning. I quickly sent an autotext back to the number but no acknowledgement. I rang the phone number a few hours later and got a recording which wanted me to dial 9 which I know is a setup. I got interested in this because I myself live in the 406. Avoid this scam and do not follow any recorded instructions.

Caller left message saying Amazon gift problem and for me to call back on their number shown incomng my phone. Or if not to call them at 406-272-3722. Which I did twice both times getting an audio message "we are not able to take your call right now good bye"

It is a scam, someone posing as Amazon saying a gift card was purchased on "your" account.

A recorded message saying Amazon had charged $99 to my card and asked me to call them back. Also included words to the effect of "Please **** up if you recognize this charge; please call back on this same number which is displayed on your phone's caller ID, or call Amazon customer support right away at (406) 272-3722."
