Saw the number but did not recognize it. Ran the number on the web, found this site - glad I did not answer it.

Phishing scam.

Phishing scam definitely. Got another similar call a few hours later from a different area code, too. Two in one day!

The called tried to tell me that there was an urgent situation with my credit card and said so****ing about immediate action. I ***g up. I don't even *have* a credit card.

They called me while I was in school. I don't answer and I'm glad I didn't. Thanks NumberGURU

They called my cell phone. I would have answered but I couldn't get to the phone in time. When I called back it was busy. They left no message.

Got that same call as those shown. When I asked them for a call back number they disconnected.

I answered the call and figured out pretty quickly that this was a scam, since the woman tried to tell me she was going to lower my interest rate and then told me I had a combined credit card balance of $3,500, which is insane since I only have one card (can't be "combined") and my balance on that card is MUCH less than $3,500! I called Capital One and they confirmed that the will NEVER do outbound calls to lower interest rates.

I received a call from this number offering to lower my interest rate on my credit cards. I do not have cards. I have one card. I asked if they were calling from within the US and was told yes. When I asked who they were calling from, I was told they were from credit card services and they said they represented Bank of America and Capital One, both of which I have accounts with. When the woman (clearly not from the US) tried to confirm a balance almost 4 times the amount I have on my card, I told her that was not possible. She didn't say anything, simply ***g up on me. I called Capital One and confirmed that they NEVER do outbound calls to offer lower interest rates.

This number showed up on my cell phone at 3:15 pm, I did not answer it. They left no msg.

Received call from this phone number. Since I have no relitives and no business with anyone in Montana, i did not answer but instead went right to this site and low and behold, the number was listed as I suspected it would be.

I Just got a call from this number. They left no message. I never get calls from Montana. This is a bit weird!

Someone called and said they are going to lower my interest rate, and they represent 3 banks. I work for one of those banks and I knew this is a fraudulent call. The accent was definitely not local to the US, and I straight asked who gave you my info. The guy dropped the call.
