These forums are always filled with pretty much the same complaints and accounts of what happens when these leaches call. However, obviously there are people out there who are actually buying into their "service", or this same scam wouldn't still be around. I would LOVE -- just for once -- to hear from someone who actually fell for one of these calls and could tell us all the details of what happened next. My guess is that these parasites make you pay an exorbitant upfront fee just for them to do what anyone can do on their own: call your credit card company and ask them to give you a lower APR. What loss is it to them if they say no? 60 Minutes or 20/20 should do an exposé and track down these s***bags. There must be somebody who has seen the error of his ways and would be willing to be interviewed to give us a look behind the scenes. What ever you do, don't ever answer the phone or reply "STOP" on a cell phone -- all it does it let them know that the number is live. I had the same number calling me every day on the hour at different hours testing to see when I would answer. I never answered and after a few days, the calls stopped. That's the best way to make these stop. DNC is a joke to these fine upstanding business people.
I believe this is a scam - Card Services - said they could lower my interest rate on my highest balance - Visa Mater or Amex - which one did I want to lower? I said "you should have my info since YOU are calling me" - guy (with a slight Russian accent) said just give me one of them - I told him I don't give out my info over the phone and that this sounded su****ious - of course he ***g up! Beware!
Don't answer it... Nothing you want or need. The economy is **** right now... be very careful in who you deal with. People are being taken advantage of daily.if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Robocall, left message at 7am, telling me that I can lower my interest rates to under 6%. Cannot call back the caller ID number.
No message left. Losers.
Sad---I'm from this state so when I see this area code, I nearly answer...until it says credit card etc. And I do know people from Big TImber......they are all decent people so the scammers have to be newbies. Shame on them!
Reporting robo calls that appear to be a "fishing" expedition. Even though I am on the do not call list for all cell phones and land lines. This call came to my cell phone.
I have NO idea who these people are but outr phone number is on the do not call list. They keep calling and never leave a message.
