I have gotten phone calls from this number the last two nights.
I live in ***dred, WV and am receiving calls from this number. I do not know anyone in San Jose or Santa Clara County. This needs to stop. I have been getting these calls for the past two nights.
Recorded female voice says "blah blah County Department of Corrections… to accept this free call, say*****o after pressing blah blah." Don't fall for it. Fraud--scam--harasser--thief. Don't do anything except report this call to Police or Sheriff. It's probably a prisoner trying to wheedle his way into your life and/or steal from you. Block this number forevermore. To you callers of such calls, up yours.

I received two calls one immediately after another from 408-353-5000 this morning. These was no human on the other end; i.e., these were robot calls. The message claimed the call is from Santa Clara county department of corrections and asked if I want to accept the free call. I refused by pressing '1' (this was an option) and ***g up. A few seconds later I got another call from the same number.
