Leave a CommentThey called us several times over the last 2 days looking for a relative. As if hassling people directly wasn't bad enough. They stated we were listed as referrals so now we were involved too. They said they could see us and knew what we were doing. I thought the only way to be this bad was to already occupy a spot in*****; maybe that's where their phone bank is. I wish we could send a Navy Seal team there!
I received a call from 315 area code when you try to call this number back it is not connected but they leave you a message and tell you to call 408-520-2483. they have been harrassing me since Thanksgiving. They did give me a different number to call but I argued with that guy so know they are calling with the 408 number. they want money and say i am going to be arreseted. THIS IS A BIG SCAM!!!!!!!
I recieved a call from some one claiming they were going to put a judgement a***nst my social sec.# for a loan I took out online with usa payday loans. I have never had a loan from these people never heard of them. The guy claiming to be an investigater said he had a loan doc. with my e signature on it, when I asked him to send me said such doc. he got very loud and demanded I pay the debt immediately on my debit or credit card, I said I need to see the do***ents so I can investigate it further myself he then passed the phone to another man that had the same accent and demanded I pay now I ***g up on them. They call my cell twice today from th 315-551-5*** number which is in syracuse, NY the carrier is Choice One Communications, Inc. they left a message for me to call them back on the 408-520-2483 number. I called Choice One Communications, Inc. and they looked up the number and it shows the number is not active????? Well someone is using it. I reported this to them as a harassment complaint on one of their customers, they r going to investigate it. I also found out they do not have my whole social security number only the last 4 digits they tried to get the rest from me and I said absolutely not
I got a call from Sam Wilson at this number with the same old **** that i did not pay back a payday loan from 2009. i just told them to go to he.. and we are aware of who they are and who they are not!! *****in' scammers!!
I have received several calls from this number claiming that I owe them money. The last call was to my work phone & they left an obscene message. I still have it. I am saving it because of that.
I have received the same call. I am reporting them to the FTC. It would help if many of you did the same.
I was contacted by by "Officer" Jack Jenkins who was wanting info on my daughter and son-in-law. This is obviously a scam, since he couldn't tell my daughter anything about the loan she supposedly made. He called me a***n today, and I became very irate and told him to never call me a***n; then, I called him a bad word and ***g up on him. He immediately called me back (I didn't pick up the phone) and called me an "f-er" and "******". Very good telephone manners - anyway, I would advise anybody who receives a call from this firm to simply **** up and forget it.
That's so funny because Mr. Johnson called me too. Unfortunately I argued with him and I work in a call center that looks for these kind of scams. I didn't give them any more information than what they already had but I talked to several people. I called and spoke to a compliance department with one of the payday places. She advised me that this was a scam. I guess the only advice I can give is c****e your information with your bank. I'm also going to put an alert on my credit reports.
Forgot to mention when they called, they knew my address, where I banked, and where I worked. This is a scam
same thing is happening to me
This morning I got an email from the HR dept at the company I worked for stating that this # 4085202483 called. So I called the number back, It ran for awhile, and someone answered. The person I talked to did not state his name, he asked for my name and phone to "locate me in the system", I gave them my name. They had a hard time trying locate me. But when they did, the guy I was talking to said that his name was BRYAN JOHNSON. And that he was from UNLD/UNLV and that I owed all this money, and they would need a credit card to pay it. So I wanted to know which company his office was representing, and this Bryan Johnson said. PAY DAY 1, well I've never used this company. But I said that, if I owed money, I would pay it. you know blah blah blah.He told me that the best pay to pay it would be to go to the Local WALMART or MEIJER or WALGREENS and get a prepaid visa gift card, and to call back. THIS IS CEARLY A SCAM.After hearing this from this BRYAN JOHNSON, I called the only company I'd ever had a pay day loan with, and they said that they have had several comments from customers stating that this was happening to them so BEWARE
I'm so glad I found this website. Someone just called me from 4085202483 with indian dialect. They said they were from UNLV and a pending investigation was a***nst my husband. He said his name was James so****ing. A few weeks ago I was getting calls from a different number sounded like the same guy but his name was James Brown. ****. How original right? These people should get in huge trouble for harrasment.
Don't talk to them, don't argue with them just **** up. It's a scam and every second you spend with them just makes them think they can harass you into complying. It's a scam.
ITs a fraud... Dont call them back...
I have recieved numerous messages from different numbers from either a recording or a foriegn speaking man. This company or en***y has called my cell and work number threating to file a lawsuit a***nst me and said that they will have any investigator at my door step if I did not call back and speak to Officer Jack Johnson at 408-520-2483.The message also mentions the last 4 numbers of my SSN, where I bank and my job. I did not call the company back because I beleive this is a scam, but I am worried that this company has my info like this. I know a few months back I filled out some applications online for a car loan and I beleive that the info was pulled from there. I will never do that a***n.
I recieved a phone call from 315)551-5***, which on my cell phone showed up as a call from Syracuse NY. A man with a very heavy middle eastern accent left a message looking for a friend of mine that the man says used me as online reference. They were letting me know of pending legal action a***nst my friend. I didnt understand him very well, but he said UNLV or UNLD, a law firm. He left a return number of 408)520-2483. The only other thing I can think that would tie me to this friend, is that I sent him some money a few months ago via Money Gram online. It sounded like the caller identified himself as "officer Mark Hossting"...
These people having been calling and harrassing everyone we know about my husband. The man is the same but he keeps c****ing his name. Now instead of a debt he states that there is fraud going on, on my husband's behalf. I have heard from many people online that this number is a fraud and scam! Legally if you owe money to a company they cannot threaten you or send you to jail! Report this number.
I thought you should know that I am being terrorized by a telemarketing/collection hoax company. These people had very specific information about me and online loan applications that I had submitted and told me that I hadn't paid the loan and that now there was action a***nst me and if I didn't pay them I would be arrested! I quickly argued and told them they were extorting money from me and the guy who sounded Indian or ****stani got angry and told me he was going to call my work and all my contacts and tell them I was going to jail and have the officers come and "pick you up", then he ***g up on me. I googled the phone number that the call originated from which is syracuse NY which is different than the # I called back that was in Santa Barbara, CA and there was a ton of stuff about scams and online extorions.
be ware it is a fraud
funny cause a couple of days ago I got this same phone call with a different person name and in the middle of the message you could someone in the background telling him what to say!!! BUT WHAT WAS FUNNY was the call before that he left an 800 number and the call left a couple weeks agao was a 408 number the same number you had! scam I am sure
I received a call from a number 315-551-5*** claiming their was a lawsuit filed and I could call back a different number 408-520-2483. He told me he was calling from UNLV and his name was Jack Johnson. If I did not call back then he was sorry to tell me that I was going to have to go to court.
Got a call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.
