Scammers claiming to be soliciting money for the Los Angeles Police Department. The City might be going through some hard times but the LAPD does not solicit money through phone calls. Caller ID said C4C FOP LA Cnty. The FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) is a real organization but they don't solicite money over the phone either. No, none, zero, ***a police or fire orginizations, at least in California, solicit donations via phone.
