As soon as I see a call is from an unknown caller, I pick up and IMMEDIATELY disconnect so I don't have to listen to the phone ringing or my answering ma****e.  My "Do Not Call" status is current, why do I keep getting calls from these people?

Please report this to the FCC at the following link:  esupport.fcc.gov.  The more of us who report it, the more likely these annoying calls will finally stop.Thanks for your help in advance!

Got another call from this number. Caller claimed to be from Santa Clara Deputy Sheriffs****ociation (http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_jh107l).

I GET MANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER AT VARIOUS TIMES OF THE DAY/NIGHT. HOWEVER I DON'T PICK UP ON CALLS FROM UNKNOWN NUMBERS & THEY NEVER LEAVE MESSAGES ON MY VOICEMAIL. IT'S S****ING TO SOUND LIKE A SCAM BASED ON WHAT I'VE READ HERE.WHERE DO WE REPORT THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY? IS IT EVEN ILLEGAL? OR JUST A NUISSANCE?

policy deputy claiming a bull-riding event at "cow palace" is to raise cash for disabled kids and costs $40 for a ticket for 5 people. I asked for a website and he said "what for? I'm telling you about it now." Apart from the fact that I don't approve of bull riding, unless they can point to event details in newspaper/internet I'm not going to be interested in any such event.

I got calls from this number many times. Do not leave any message and just blank call I guess to check if anyone is at home or not. I am a fraud victim and I am wondering if iden***y thief is using this service to check if I am picking phone or not. Do u have any more information and how can we stop getting calls from this number ?

Caller ID said SBC MESSAGING. I didn't recognize this caller so I let my answering service take the call - no message - just the recording of the phone ****ing up. The previous post on this site mentioning the "$40 family ticket" offer makes me think this is some sort of scam.
