Still calling AZ
Spammer and scammer
If you would look at past postings, you will see that the number on your caller ID is s****ed. If you called the FCC you'd have found out already that they cannot do anything about it because it is currently not a***nst the law. The calls you *should* make are to your Member of Congress and your US Senators - because they can do so****ing to help us all stop this behavior.
Yes. I received the call on my cell phone at 7:00 pm last night. Definitely a scam.Call came from 408-942-9800 stating my Chase card had been compromised and wanted me to enter the card number. This should be reported to the FCC as communications fraud.
Thank you for your thoughtful and complete response. We have been receiving between 400 and 500 calls *per day* from the good people of Arizona for the last several days. There are other businesses whose numbers have also been s****ed. Please call your Congressperson and/or your US Senator to request that they finally complete the legislative process to make Caller ID S****ing a Federal crime. There is current legislation in both houses which has been passed by the other house that is not moving, for whatever reason. If they get enough 'heat' from the people, maybe they will do what is right to get this legislation passed. Calling them will make a difference!
Now Calling AZ numbers. The number that comes up on caller ID is a s**** number they are using a real business number(this number tied to this business is being taken for his reputation because his number is being used as a s****). The recording said JP Morgan Chase fraud department and they were calling for checking card number so they can take it off fraud alert. A real person never came on the line and they wanted me to enter my CC number. DO NOT ENTER YOUR NUMBER!!!!! and don't bother the company they s****ed. Call the police and report it as crime.
Big Scam! Wants your credit card number.
Just got a call from 408-942-9800. I didn't answer but I called the number and the person who answered said the number has been "s****ed" or stolen. After reading the above posts, I'm glad I didn't answer. This is rediculous!
Spoke to a nice gentleman on 408-942-9800 he said the caller ID number had been hijacked and the good bit is it's not illegal, yet. But you can help by telling your representative to vote for the law.http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s111-30
My wife had a cal from the number and called back and a lady answered and said the phone had been stolen. Also said she had reported to police but why is the number still active??? Sounds fishy to me.
got a call and ***ody spoke. Later **** up.
Got a call on my cell 051110at 0645 PST...no message left and my husband got one on his cell one minute earlier. Last week we got one from a similar # wanting us to 'verify' our ATM card #.
Of course you didn't get anyone. You called on a Sunday. Our company is closed on the weekends. We responded to your BBB complaint already. You, and everyone, should be aware that there is a lot of Caller ID S****ing going on. Our number has been s****ed. It causes us to receive 300 plus calls per day from people who don't know about s****ing. S****ing, which is why you have various numbers on *your* phone is not currently illegal. However, there is legislation in the Senate now (HR1110 - Phone Act of 2009) which would make it so. The most useful thing any of you can do is to call and/or write your US Senators and ask them to help push this legislation out of committee. For more information you can Google HR1110.
This is the phone number for a legitimate business, Vector Fabrication Inc. in Milpitas, CA. Either someone is running a scam from their business location or someone is inserting this company's phone number into the caller ID data when these calls are made. The company information is:VECTOR FABRICATION INC1629 Watson Court, Milpitas, CA 95035, United StatePhone: (408) 942-9800 . Fax: (408) 942-9896I tried calling this number on March 28. There is no answer and no answering ma****e. I have been getting these calls for a couple of days so it could be they disconnected the answering ma****e. Either way I have reported the business to the San Jose Better Business Bureau that Vector Fabrication Inc.'s company phone number is being used in a credit card scam.
They just called my phone and my wife's phone (a few minutes apart). Asking for credit card number (in my case) or that the ATM card has been suspended (my wife's case). We did not even bother following up they instruction of pressing "1" and etc.
I'm only 13 years old but I've been getting these calls continuously! I only have a savings account on my name, so why are people trying to scam me?!
I got a call on my cell. Sound quality was not good, all I could hear was "ATM CARD" and "Credit Union". I called back the same number, the person who answered said some one is s****ing their number and scamming people.
They called me twice yes****ay, once at 12:30 AM! It sounded scammy because they didn't identify themselves specifically, just "Your Credit Card APR" blah blah.
