wanted to know about my business, hng up when I asked questions
The real company behind these calls is at (901) 322-0185 and called eperformax at http://www.eperformax.com/They illegally s**** their caller ID - the number that displays on the phone is 410-202-0051 - but I have IP based service, and can check the real / non-s****ed caller ID online. So the same call had two caller ID's - the fake one at 410-202-0051, and the authentic one at (901) 322-0185.But try calling them - no answer. So file FTC complaints and mention these details in the comments area!Do Not Call complaint page: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspxePERFORMAX:2nd Floor, BPI Buendia CenterSenator Gil Puyat AvenueMakati City, Philippines 1200Telephone Numbers:901.751.48001.866-ePERFORMAX (866.373.7367)Address:8001 Centerview Parkway, Third FloorCordova, Tennessee 3801
The woman said she was calling to update our company's “profile.” I told her that we receive these requests throughout the day and that we’re not interested in updating any “profiles.” She said she had only a few questions and then proceeded to ask me to verify the name of the business, as if she had not understood what I had just said. I told her that I was busy and that I was ****ing up, which I did.
A woman said she wanted to UPDATE my Business Information, I asked "Why? Who asked for such a report?", she ***g-up.
They began calling my number recently. I have no idea of who they are, and I would not answer any questions, since this is the way most scammers begin.
We need to find these folks a Job . stop doing illegal stuff . Thanks
rec'd a couple calls, they ***g up as the call went to voice mail.
I finally files a comnplaint with the do not call registry because they will not quit calling.
Joe at Experian called asking questions about my business. Apparently, it is some FREE database that takes a PROACTIVE approach to obtaining information. He became uncomfortable when I asked him questions then ***g up when I put him on hold to speak with my manager.
called never left message
They called me and ***g up.
They ***g up when I answered.
Since I am not a business I can only****ume they're calling to sell me their credit monitoring service?I searched Experian online:Protect yourself from iden***y theft with Credit Monitoring from ... Monitor your credit for just $4.95 per month! Enjoy automatic, daily credit monitoring of all 3 of your credit reports. Third time in 6 months caller ID reads "out of area" 410-202-0051. when I answered the phone the first thing the woman asked was "is this (and she states my company name). My response was you know it is as I just answered the phone using that name, so what can I do for you? She then states that she is calling from Experian and needs to update their records on the business information. I interrupted her and asked her "what was the name of your organization?". She repeated it and quickly tried to move on to asking a question. I a***n interupted her telling her I have never heard of the organization and need to know what the nature of your business is. She said the organization is the largest one in the country providing business data for research or some ****** thing like that. So she tried to quickly ask me a question and I interupted her a***n with "where did you get the information you currently have on this business?" She said we gather it from various sources. She a***n tried to move on with her questioning but I stopped her by promptly telling her that I suggest she go back to her various sources and gather updates from them since it appears gathering it that way to begin with was satisfactory then they should be good enough to verify the info as I don't give any information about my company over the telephone to anyone. I conduct my business with the phone not someone elses business. I guarantee you that Experian will be calling a***n to try to trip me up and get information they have no business having. Not as dumb as they are! I always tell information seekers wanting to "update their informtion on my company" the same thing, every time. My number is also on the Do Not Call Registry but as someone else indicated the DNCR isn't worth S***. I do file complaints with the DNCR everytime this type of call is received but it doesn't stop the idiots from disrupting my ability to conduct my company business. One of these days I am going to become very verbally insulting to callers of this type. "Online yellow pages" is another one of these types of company's. I never asked to be listed in the online yellow pages and they always get told the same thing Experian idiots get told.
I had received a call today from 1-410-202-0051. A lady noted that she was with Experian and wanted to verify some basic business information (e.g., business name, business address, number of employees, etc.) I verified this information with her and she noted that if I had any further questions that I could call 1-888-929-3282.I went to Experian's website and located this informaiton:http://www.experian.com/customer_service/contact_business.htmlIt appears that they do have a Business Verification department. I called this number (1-888-929-3282: which is listed on Experian's website) and advised the agent what I had just experienced. He noted that Experian does call businesses to verify their business information which helps them to keep their records up to date.I also called the 1-410-202-0051 number back and received the same IVR message that I did when calling the 888 number, "Thank you for calling Experian, one of the worlds leading business information reporting agencies...".After speaking with the agent at Experian, upon my call back to them, it would seem that this is not a scam. They did not want to sell me anything, so this would not fall into the realm of a telemarketing call.
multiple calls from this number
I was just called by this company; it was obviously a foreign-based phone call. The woman identified herself as being from Experian.
Your first clue that this is a scam with a capitol S is that Experian does not call people to verify information. And yes there is much we can do. S**** by filing a complaint with www.donotcall.gov. If they continue to call, register a complaint with th Federal Trade Commission and the (your state) Attorney General. The more complaints they get the better the cahnces are of finding and cat****g these bottom feeding s*** ****ers shutting them down.
Wife answered it and verified our number - I told her not to answer calls in which they dont have a ID name on it - those who dont list are scammers!!!I guess this goes hand in hand with our govrnment - scams, frauds... and not a dang thing we can do!
dam... i gave her my business info... didnt konw that..
called at 11:25 am saying they were from experian - wanted to update records...
Woman calls at 12:01pm from 410-202-0051. She says she is from Experian and is updating their records to see if they are correct. I could hear a bunch of talking in the background. She asks if this is the name of my business. I tell her yes, she wanted to verify my address. That is where the line stops. I do not give out information. I ask her "how do I know you are who you say you are? You are the one that originated the call, I did not call you!" She s****ed telling me a phone number I can call to verify the information and I simply told her I am not interested and ***g up. This woman got further than most with me, as I frequently just **** up on these people. This woman had no accent but was well-spoken in English.

We got calls from both 410-202-0051 and from 888-929-3282. We are also on the do not call list which obviously isn't worth a s**t. We are a buisness and don't have time for this **** all the time.

Received a call from 888-929-3282/410-202-0051. Loud background noise, garbled s***ch so I couldn't tell who was calling (used computer to check numbers on caller ID). Wanted to update info for my phone number. Told him I didn't know him and wasn't talking to him. Sounded too su****ious. I'm in my 60's and have never ever had such a call or heard of such a call in my lifetime. If another call is received, I'm calling the phone company.
I recieved a call from 410-202-0051. The caller ID indicates the call is from "Call Center, MD". The caller identified themselves as a representative from Experian...Asked me if the number was the numnber of a business, was it funded by the government, the address...at which point I ***g up...
They say they just want to update my information, I just said it's fine and ***g up! The next thing you know if you give them any information you get a bill for so****ing, I'm not falling for it!
