same thing just happened to me this number is to receive my one time code

Had to do with fraud - of course they were the spammers and they somehow have managed to get into my SS account.

Tried to login to Social Security and SS had a text message sent to this number. Why hasn't the gov fixed this problem?

Tried to sign in to mysocialsecurity, received a message that a one-time PIN was sent to this number, which is not my number. Very concerning.

This number appeared in my SSN electronic records ERE as my number to text verification code. When I entered by using my SSN, there was another person name and some disability records under my SSN.

Furious as well. Same number on Login.gov as text to number. Also found income on a federal application renewal a***nst my social security number that was not mine. i.e. someone else used my SSN for work. Can't access SSA right now either. Reported fraud of SSN to FTC.

This phone number was connected to MY SOCIAL SECURITY ACCOUNT AND TO SIGN IN A TEXT MESSAGE WOULD BE SENT TO THIS FRAUD PHONE NUMBER. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? It's a Friday evening and Monday is a long way off..... I have no idea what is happened to my SS Account. SSA.gov site is down!

This phone number appeared today on the social security site as my phone number when I tried to log in. I was trying to access electronic records (ERE). This popped up after entering myssa. The site was going to send an access code to this (410) 504-7440 phone number. When I went to ssa.gov I was able to log in.

to my surprise this is the verification phone number listed on SSA.gov. I find that very frightful.

Found this number on my Ssdi page. I tried to log in and my one time password was sent to that number. I can't access my account to update my real phone number. Have no idea how that Maryland number got on my page
