called the number back...  it was the time?????

This is the second time I've gotten a call from this number.  They keep calling my business phone, which is a magic jack number!  What irks me is that I don't get any customers calling, just junk calls like this or sales calls from someone trying to sell me what don't want or need.

I also had a call today from this # and I called back only to get a recording stating time of day! i don't know who it is ! and no message was left.

This number called me at 4:08 am. I live in California.  UGH. It called my home phone, so I put a block on it.

I just got dialed by this number and didn't answer it. For those that have cell phones, you can always give numbers a custom ringtone and then just not answer any call that has that ringtone. Even better: make a custom ringtone that is just silence and give any caller you don't want, the silent ring tone. Then you won't even be interrupted by a ringing phone.

Received call at 5:29am Mon 3/1 from 410-844-1212. Did not pick up as asleep! I see lot's of websites reporting abuse by this phone # which is reported to be "time of day" in Baltimore MD.

Missed call from this number this afternoon for the first time on my Verizon cellphone.  I researched it and came across this forum.  I've emailed Verizon Wireless and the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce asking them to stop it, hope others will do the same.  Included in my email to Verizon is a complaint about how we cannot use our cellphone to block numbers.  I suggest all wireless customers complain to their providers about not being able to block calls.  I'm fairly sure the reason we can't is to protect collection calls from banks, credit agencies, etc. so they can call people who owe them money without being blocked.  Personally I think our rights as consumers to protect ourselves from harrassment on our cellphones should outweigh that but I don't have a large lobby in Congress to get my agenda through.

I also got this call from 410-844-1212 and ***ody there. I wonder if they are collecting numbers of live people to target advertising. It ia a shame we came to the point to where we don't answer the phone. What is ther is an emergency call and we do not reconize the phone number. Sometimes I wonder if technology is a good thing. I recieved my call on 2-28-2010 at 10:55 AM Sunday morning.

Can you make it stop.  They call me at all hours of the morning.  Not happy with this.

Just got a call from 4108441212 .. Apparently it's a nationwide bot dialing hack that tapped into some maryland time and temp service.. Don't call the number back it may be a pay-per-call hack. Just ignore the call and report it to verizon wireless (that's who the # belongs to) Hours are M-F 8:30 to 5. 1-800-257-2969

Perhaps Ocean City Chamber will stop if we flood them with email requests. [email protected]

These idiots called at 1:44 AM 2/28/2010 when I answered I heard nothing. I called it back and got the time. Lovely.

We received a call from this number just before 6 a.m. Sa****ay 2/27/2010. Same thing as previously reported--called back & got the time, googled and got the listing for Ocean City/Baltimore time. Anyone know who runs this?

Just received this call Sa****ay a.m. Did not recognize the number so did not answer it. After Googling it, see that others have the same problem. The number appears to belong to Ocean City Maryland and is listed on the Chamber of Commerce site. Surely its a s**** but I imagine Ocean City would like to know their number is being used in this fashion. Maybe they can do so****ing about it. got the same call at 7:21AM.  Didn't pick up, but it did wake me up.  Was very NOT happy!

Got a call from 410-844-1212 at 3:24 am last night.  No one on line when I answered it.??

Saw that I had "missed call" icon when I turned up my cell phone ringer this morning. The missed call was for this number. No voicemail left. Good thing my ringer was off it was 7:17 am! I am reading that this is a "Time" number. Why would it be placing calls? Weird

I got a call at 4:40 am from 410-844-1212 and no one would talk, I called it back and it was the time for MD.  I wonder is someone who works there thinks this is a funny trick to play on people all night long.
