Dang, I paid a 300 so****ing dollar medical bill that went unnoticed when I lived over seas. I paid it to CBCS Columbus, Oh. On my credit report 1 company has it paid, one has it have paid and one doesn't. I in dispute now. Hope I didn't**** ripped!

The person who used to have my phone number, I suspect is who they are trying to contact.  I used to get calls from collection companies for this person, Vincent.  But this caller does not even identify himself.  The phone rings, before I can say*****o, they **** up.  They call back 10 minutes later.  This is very annoying, especially since I have never missed a credit card payment.  Is this a scam, or a real debt collector.

I received the first of these calls today.  After sear****g the internet, several places online has said this company is a scam.  Do NOT give any personal information to them!  Ask them to send you a copy of the bill with all the information via USPS mail to verify the information.If you have money to pay an overdue bill, call the originating company.  Do not pay bill collectors unless you are 100% sure they are legitimate and your payment will be reported to your credit.With money so tight right now for everyone, these scammers are out in full force and will do anything to sneak money out of you.  It's worse than those funny emails from Nigeria, because you think you are doing right by paying an overdue bill, but in fact you are giving it away for free.Be Careful!

I got the same message from "Pat Jones."  The ma****e says to refer to account number  "83433073" when calling back.  The ma****e always asks for a Jacqueline someone (maybe Kline, Vine?).  They have been calling now for about a year. Give it up!

It's actually a legitimate collection agency and they are just doing their job.  I hate these as much as anyone else but when we owe someone money they come after it.  Wouldn't you?  You know if you owe someone.  I know I have an overdue debt but can't afford to pay it right now so I don't answer the phone.  They also use different account numbers than the orignal loan/debt/credit card too which does make sense to me.  And the amount they say you owe is more than likely going to be different than the amount you think you owe because anytime an account goes to collection there are fees added and sometimes that fee can be up and over 50% of what the original debt was for.  Just stating the obvious.  Just dont answer your phone or else pay your overdue bills.

Same Kathy called me and asked for all my personal info, which I refused to give.  They have called every day since.  The debt they are referring to doesn't even match the account number given by the hospital.  I call the hospital to find out the trail the debt took.  I tracked it to 2 different companies then the trail got cold, but no one at either company who held my debt ever heard of CBCS.  CBCS didn't even get the amount owed correct.  Beware of these crooks!

Does anyone know where this phone call originates? I mean actual street number, office number, any information?

I recieved a call from this number .  A message was on my answering ma****e that I owed money.  Never heard of this place (CBCS) so I tried to call them back and when I finally got someone they kept saying*****o I can't hear you.  I don't owe anyone any money and I don't know how they can call when I'm on do not call list.  Also the lady on the recording said her name was Pat Jones.

Got a really strange call on my cell, wanted to know my name, refused to say, wanted my ssn, refused to say, said I owed huge money, and they wanted it immediately or else.  Wanted a credit card number to pay them.  I asked who they were and for a supervisor.  They ***g up on me.

I received a call from these people today. The number "Wanda" left was 412-503-9230. I told her no one by the name she was looking for lived at my residence. She then went on to ask if I was her Grandmother. When I said no she persisted with, "her mother then". She then tried to get me to give her a work number or other number. This is really rediculous that they will not take no for an answer.

Caller named Kathy claims I have an overdue elect. bill that has been put to collection, I cancelled that service when I moved at the end of October.

Same here. Got a letter from them saying that a medical bill has not been paid and has been put up for collection.
