I have been getting phone calls from some 412-622-**** number, listed as "PUBLIC INTEREST CO" on our Caller-ID screen, almost every evening between 6pm and 8pm, for weeks now. Rather annoying to say the least. I think that the comments from "Merry23" below are precisely on target (I do indeed support one of client organizations listed on PUBLIC INTEREST COMMUNICATIONS website), and I intend to follow his/her recommendations so as to stop this relentless phone calling. (As repeated unwanted solicitation, it fits my definition of SPAM.)

Public Interest Communications Inc is hired by non-profits/charities to call you. They have a list of the non-profits on their website http://www.pu****com.com. Go to the right hand column of their website and click onto Clients/Markets We Serve. A partial list of the non-profits will come up. If you support or have ever supported any of those non-profits then email the non-profit telling them you are dropping monetary support due to the harassment by Public Interest Communications caused by that non-profit giving Public Interest Communications your personal information. Tell them that the tactics Pu*****.Comm. uses is a reflection of the non-profit and request to be removed from all their mailist and email lists and to not give, lease or rent your personal information to any more third party companies. Public Interest Comm also has a section in their website, click onto "Did We Call You" where you can enter your phone number which tells them not to call you any longer.

Answered phone and got message that "one of our representatives just missed you. If you have any questions, call 412-622-7387." NO idea who this is or what it's about, and wonder if it's a scam of some sort.

I think they need to s**** a "do not call" list for charties or organizations since they are not covered on the current list which only covers sales calls.

My husband answered, asked who's calling. They said, "An organization she supports." He has gotten this same sentence many times before, even though he always tells them I do not take calls and asks them to remove my name from their list. They called two times today - only once did he pick up. We are on the Minnesota Do Not Call list, and our message says we do not take solicitation calls.

Everyday, all hours of the day.  I do not answer but it is the most annoying thing.  They do not leave a message except one time it went through and it sounded like someone was eating****ato chips from a bag.  I checked a website referral from another site indicating that this number is a telemarketer for non profits and I have never given to any of the listed charities.  I truly am sick and tired of all of these nuisance calls.

Caller ID reads Public Interest Group PU. They call at least once a day. Sometimes up to 3 times a day. I do not answer as I run a home business and if they do not leave a message (which they never do) than I know it is a telemarketer. They are super persistent and this unsolicited calling needs to stop.

We don't answer calls from people we don't know.  We figure that, if it's important or interesting, they will leave a message.  If they are a fund raiser, they should say so.  It may be for an organization I like to support.

I phones 703-847-8300 and asked that my phone number be removed from their list; a man named "Clint" said he would take care of it immediately.  They are a company who raises money for a number of places.....operas etc.

THey are always calling me. It's time to shut them down.

I get calls from (412)622-7387 as early as 11 am EST and as late as 9:30 pm EST.  They've left messages requesting me by my full name.  Caller ID says Public Interest CM (communications?).  I am on the "National Do Not Call Registry," but have been told if I gave my number to any exempt organization (like a charity), they DO have the right to call.  I wonder if (412)622-7387 might be an umbrella organization with access those numbers used by the exempt organizations.Here's how Donotcall.gov defines an exempt organization:1. This number (412)622-7387 calls my house late at night and every time I answer they **** up. Who is this company? I have reported them on the "Do Not Call" complaint site. Does anyone have any info. about this number?

Called me 11:37 13th June. On behalf of Civil War Perservatin Trust (a very fine organization). Said her name was Brenda Love, and that she was calling from Pittsburgh. Told her I made no financial commitments over the telephone. She said she would put me on the do not call list.

The person refused to say the name of the company or what he wanted. When my wife insisted, he ***g up. The next day, there was another call from this number but no message was left.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone yes****ay. There was no message left, it just rang the four times. No name came up for them on my phone, just the number which I just looked up and is what lead me here.
