I got this call.  I picked up and announced myself.  The caller dropped the line.  When I called back there is silence on the line.. however after some time you will hear DTMF tones.  (The sound of someone dialing) I strongly suspect they are just calling numbers and "qualifying" people.   (Making a list of what numbers pick up to sell to a telemarketer.)  I recommend you call them back and tie up their line.

Female rep called me around noon on a Friday. Said she was from Big Brothers Big Sisters, they'd be in my neighborhood collecting donations on January 2, and asked if I would leave a bag of clothing on my front steps. I don't know if it was actually BBBSA.
