Leave a CommentThis person called me several times asking for a donation, I tell them no each time and to take me off the list. The first time I was contacted there was screaming in the background so this must be some type of scam calls. I have contacted the police and hope they shut this scammer down! I suggest you get as much information on this person as possible and contact the police to file a complaint as well as the state of wisconsin dept of consumer protection and file a complaint for illegal activity.
These guys are scams. Anyone finds out who they are should immediately call the Wisconsin Dept of Revenue and let them pay taxes on their scamming like TRUE businesses do.
A message was left on my answering ma****e that sounded like 5 ***** guys all talking at once and all I could understand was so****ing about $15??

I received a call from the Fire Fighters of Wisconsin. He seemed to only have my husband's first name, our phone number and zip code. He claimed to represent the Glendale Fire Dept. in our zip. However there is no Glendale Fire Dept. It's been combined with other North S**** suburbs, now named the North S**** Fire Dept.He kept asking me if I lived in Glendale with our zip; and also he didn't recognize the name of our street even after I spelled it for him; and he also asked for my first name. I did give them this info since they can look it up anyway by plugging in our phone number. I should have ***g up.At least if one is representing a charity, get your facts straight. Do a little research. Know what you are talking about!!!Anyway, we are probably on a ****er list now. I will never answer a phone number with an ID I don't recognize!!!!!Who are these people??????
I say*****o, no response.*****o? 2-3 more times and can hear backgroung noises like a tv and breathing directly on the phone. I continue to talk and the person listens until they **** up.
A male voice asked for my wife, who had passed away about 2 years ago. When I asked who was calling, there was no answer. She used to donate to the FireFighters, (who were informed of her *****) until I informed her that once a person donates, their name and address was added to a list and sold to other causes. I'm sure that there was a notation next to her name, that she was an 'easy mark' as she had a difficult time saying no. I told her that she didn't have to feel guilty, that we paid the phone bill and if we didn't want to talk to someone, all we had to do was **** up. I DO NOT donate to any causes, I tell them I cannot help them, have a nice day and **** up. It's sad how bad the telemarketing industry has become. Some day, they'll quit calling.
If this is the fire fighters, it is not a good way to ask someone to contribute to their cause. Too bad.
It's the Fire Fighters, Wisconsin.
