I answered this Ad on Craigslist. A few day later I get an email to fill out a employment application. Half way through the Application it says that you need to have a credit score. This is a SCAM, as you are directed to another website where they want you to pay for your Credit Score. Beware, don't give them any bank information or credit card information. If you do, you just signed up to have your Credit Monitored at 14.95 per. month., taken out of your account each month. It isn't a spam number. It is a Craigslist verification system number.

I got a call from this number, identified on Caller ID only as "California" SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT! My answering machine picked it up, but they didn't leave any message.

If you have replied to a craigslist ad for employment you will get a call from URQ Property Management with a verification number. It is for appling for a position with their company. Not sure if it is legit or not.

This is a Craigslist verification number. If your getting random calls from this number, someone (if not yourself) is trying to use your number to create a post.

Scammer or identity theft.. This was for an online application for a property management company URV . The website looks official but no addresses or contact infor.

Not spam. This is a legit verification number from Craig's list. This it's to stop spammers on CL. Most of the people commenting here have no idea what they're talking about. Duhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

This is the Craigslist verification number. I was placing an ad and they verified my info by calling me.

Its an authentication number you must enter to post to sites such as craigslist. Reason being to help stop scammers. I use it all the time. you can also have the authentication number send via text.

I put an ad on Plentyoffish, a free dating site. Aman responded and after talking fo 10 minutes asked me if I could verify who I was and that I was "for real".....I gave him my number to call and when he did, 1-415-366-0260 showed on the caller I D. It actually gave me a code number to give back to him. I hung up the phone and told him I was not interested in craigslist dating. Then I blocked him!! This has got to be some kind of scam!!

I got a missed call from this # on 10/15/2011 after I listed my first ever item on craigs list. I was required to put in my home # because it stated they couldn't verify my cellular # when I was writing up the ad. I hate it when you get solicitations when you are trying to do legitimate business on the internet. Why can't these spammers be stopped?

I got the phone call with the same request.I gave 3 phone numbers including mine. I got worried and went to the health department in the town which is located  across the street. I was told it is a scam. I am so ****ed of it.

i got the call and said the will come to inspect our restaurant . they give a code and keeping ask if we have cell phone. they need to send anthor code. what is this all about ? I still don't understand what is going on here?

I replied to a job posting on Craig's List.  The position was for a machine operator.  I sent my resume to the job posting and received an email from an Andreas Kennerlly claiming to be the human resource manager of NNS Property management. He or she gave me a website to go to fill out an online job application.  I began filling out the application (I'm getting desperate for a job) I gave them my name, address, social security number, and phone number.  The application paused and said it was "authenticating" my phone number.  Within minutes, my phone rang (the number was 1 (415) 366-0260) and an automated voice gave me a code that I was to enter into the application in order to proceed.  I entered the code and was instantly transferred to a credit report.com web page.  I began to fill out the application but did not finish.  But out of concern I called my bank and $14.99 has been taken from my account!  I feel like such a fool and am worried as to how much more they'll be able to get before I close my account on Monday.  Do not answer a call from this number!

Same as all the others..  Responded to a C/L ad for a Production Agent..  got an on-line application and the 4153660260 # on my caller I.D.  When they "refferred" me to their "free credit report" link, it was a link that sent me to Google..  WTF??  I tried responding to the email address that the application came from, ( [email protected]), and that sent me to an entertainment site..  I knew right then it was a scam..  I now see the same ad posted on C/L again.. So I just responded to the ad, "Wow..  Nice scam you've got going on here"

After I posted my ad on Craigslist, I was asked for my phone number, so I thought it was something Craigslist wanted me to provide.  It was a machine that gave me a secret number, and that I was not to share it with anyone.  A few days later, I got an email from Craigslist that said, "Your ad has been flagged."  I re-posted the ad, and it worked fine; It did not ask for a phone this time.  How weird is that?

looking for a job on craigs list, found one sounded interesting " machinist 1st shift syracuse ny" .  good starting pay so i sent them a resume ( hope that wasn't a mistake )  .got a reply from NNS property management .  not sure what kind of machinist A property management company would need at a "local food company " but the money seemed good. they said i only had a couple days to fill out an online application   . IT HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. No number on their web site to contact them .

The guy is currently doing a scam on craigs list.Not sure how this is suppose to work....But wants a resume for a simple Malware removal wok... Yeah right.Scam alerts were ringing in my head with it.The site he sends you to looks like a craigs list site of sorts, date on callendar is wrong....And honestly I prepared by giving a "Voip" phone number that does not turn on until I do....Then the above number calls and tells you a code to write.... it does not work on the site.So... not sure how the scam works.Suspect my tracing and other hacking tools to find out who he is scared him off quick.Love to find his angle, hack him to find info, and quietly hand over to the police.Some how I don't think it will go far now.

sorry!  one customer just call me,at that time she was using church phone 816-580-3708 call us to order food., no any other one use this phone. Then I  checked the call history in my business phone again, I find out while I was on the phone 816-580-3708 that customer calling, the guy 's phone call coming,,but did not show the phone number on my business phone. only when he tried to call my cellphone ,then my cellphone show the number 415-366-0260.  I am so sorry to the church and the customer.

I got same situation this morning. this guy used tow phone at same time,the first phone he used is 816-580-3708 , he asked me for my cellphone number,I gave him my number and ask him try to call my cellphone if he get the right number ,at that time he used the phone 415-366-0260 call my cellphone. Just called saying he was a representative for the FCC for a do not call list and to give the recorded number from the voice message as confirmation.He called back asking for the confirmation number and i told him I was not interested in talking to a scam artist.

this guy (indian accent) called for my dad saying he's from the government and then told me to write down a number from a automated voice thing. I hung up and then the woman called and left a number she said it was from craigslist and to not share it, she also said not to tell anyone. After I hung up the man called again asking for the pin, I guessed he was with the woman and I gave it to him. He said to give the number to my dad and hung up. What an a**.

Got a call from this number with Indian accent, said his name was Jason.  Said he was coming for inspection.  Said Jessica and Edward Park were coming in the next day for the inspection.

Call from this number had a recording that gives you a code but I hung up before it got to it. Tied to an affiliate scam to get you to do a credit check.

He said he was from the corporate office and was shipping t-shirts to the motels. He asked for telephone numbers at the property and referred to some kind of codes. This is a scam. Our corporate office did not issue any t-shirts and has no representative like this.

DO NOT GIVE ANYONE ANY INFO.  THEY CALL YOU AND SAY YOU WILL GET FREE TSHIRTS ETC. THEY SAY YOU WILL GET A CONF CODE OVER THE PHONE AND YOU NEED TO GIVE THEM THAT NUMBER.  YOU MAY BE GIVING THESE PEOPLE ACCESS TO ANY PERSONAL INFO. REMEMBER WHEN YOU NEED TO LOG IN TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT ONLINE SOMETIME IT ASK FOR A VERIFICATION CODE WHICH CAN BE SEND OVER THE PHONE.   THEY DO THIS TO BUSINESSES MORE BECAUSE THE OWNER IS NOT AROUND AND THE EMPLOYEE MIGHT NOT CATCH ON.

I do give him phone number and five digit code. Now I know what happen. I am worry about, how he will to do with my cellphone number and confirmation code.
