Same thing.  Recorded voice said to hold while they try to connect me.  I ***g up.

got a call.  Picked up.  a voice said "please hold while we try to connect you".  After about 30 seconds, it ***g up.I'm on the do not call list.  So why are they calling?

Got a call from the above number (415-685-8647). Silence for a few seconds, then a voice that sounded automated said, 'Hold why we connect you'.  Silence and lots of clicking.My phone is unlisted, new and on the 'Do NOT Call List'. Intrusive. Seems like the 'Do NOT Call List' isn't much help in keeping wrong numbers and solicitors from calling.

They called twice today once from this # 415-685-8647 and the other one from unlisted phone. I spoke to a man and a woman they harassed  me telling me they were bail ***ters. I told them they have the wrong # I I ***g out. The phone is ringing a***n from a private name private number.

Just got a call, thought it was a friend of mine, decided not to pick up, decided to google the number, and... thank god I didn't pick up! Frickin' obnoxious!

Keep getting numerus phone calls daily. When I answer, female voice says, "Wait one moment while I connect you." Lots of clicking sounds, then, ****up.
