Leave a CommentCalled me at 8pm on a Wednesday night. At first I did not answer, then they called a***n and I answered claiming that I need to renew my PG&E Care Program. From there, I know they are scamming because PG&E never calls for renewal over the phone.
They sent me a letter telling us that care discount from pg&e has expired, So I need to renew. On that letter there was a fax number and at the top (your name, PG&E account no. , Address, email and phone. At the middle pg&e.com, care program P.O. box 29647 Oa****d Ca. 94604 and fax no. and so on.
Got a call 1/30/2024 from 415-823-1447, caller ID Max Dispatch. The caller, a women with a foreign accent mentioned PG&E energy savings program. I asked if she was an employee of PG&E, she said yes. She lied. She said I qualify for a two energy savings discount and she would have an energy representative call me back for more information. This is a scam/phishing call. Ignore it.

I dont know why a lot of comments here says that this number is a spam. The number is from PG&E and they are the one who set appointments and PG&E specialist will call the next day. I was able to qualify for the 40% discount and thank you for helping me lower down my bill.
This caller is not a spammer. I was able to qualify for the care program.
They said that they were from PG&E and that I am eligible for additional discounts under the CARE program. I know about this program but am not part of it so I knew so****ing was up. They knew my name, phone, and address, and asked to verify that I still lived there. I asked for her supervisor and she pretended to put me on hold then ***g up.
Called from this number, which I did not recognize so I didn’t pick up. I looked the number up later & verified it was a scam caller.
