I didn't answer the call

I dialed 122 by mistake. Then i got called by this number. I was too busy and didn't pick it up.

i got a call 4 in the morning while playing an intense game of monopoly. i didnt bother picking up. but when i tried to call back the next day they kept disconnecting my calls

I don't know where you guys are getting the theory that this is a cops number cause I got 13 calls in a row from them just now in the past hour.... No messages nothing.... Every time I called it bk the call was either dropped, lost, busy or beeps.... And for the past 20 min its been telling me that "the network is currently busy please redial the number and try a***n" but its in the automated girls voice from rogers.... And when I called the cops they told me (after 45 mins of being on hold and transfered n s**t) that they didn't know the number or couldn't find any information on it..... And even if it was the cops number... Or anything to do with them.... Do you really think they'll tell us??? Like come on.... I've lived in toronto pretty much all my life and I'm sorry but no effin cop on the gta force is gunna tell you if it was their f*** up or intentional on their part... Their too proud to admit theve made a mistake and too smart to admit that they were tracking, checking up on, or even investigating you.... Trust me I should know.... Lol cops are smart man... But predictable... I've been in many situations to learn this... I aint saying no more... So believe me when I tell you that it aint no po-po!!!! Someone is doing some serious ***kery.... And to tell ya the truth... I'm scared for my kids... I've had this number call me before a few months ago... But I had a different number... There was heavy breathing for a few weeks... Then they were telling me they were gunna **** me n my kids... N **** us n s**t... Now I'm a single mother of a 3 year old son and a 9 month old daughter.... So I called the cops... W***ver it was knew mine n my kids name, eherre I lived, and everything.... They tried tracking the number n came up with nothing.... It was like it was a ghost line!!!! Someone is seriously f***ing around.... I know this is going to sound bad but I'm actually glad its not just me this is happening to.... Its a bit comforting none the less.... I wish I could make that sound better then it does... But all I have to say is be carefull and if this kind of s**t happens to you... There is really nothing you can do about it.... Trust me I've tried...

I think i can agree with your message i do believe it's all the fact that i was having a conversation on my phone with someone that the police already ***nded with all the crazies s**t you will ever heard they hacked into my phone just to listen to our conversation i mean what gives them the right jeez give a man a break fro craying out lord stop phishing for whats ever and the funny thing is the phone i used to call my friend up thats not the phone they called they called my ***nd new handset which i never used to make any call from or ever recieve any calls from the only call i ever got was from my network thanking me for joining there service Plz just bug off dont the cops ave nothing else better to do go look for the real criminals out there. Leave the Rasta man and woman alone our hair is not us we are human just like  everyone else.

Got a called from this number right after midnight more or less 1am just got out from dinner with a friend and walking to the car, when suddenly the phone ring wasn't going to answer because i just purchase my new hand set about two days ago so no one has my number and i haven't made any calls from it etc.... but when i did all i heard was hi you called 911 is everything ok i was like hu... i am sorry proberly the phone got pressed so i ended the call but i was thinking my phone was locked i check my caller id to find out i didnt dial any 911 number. so i dial a 911 number just to see if it would show in my caller id and i did so i was wondering how they can say i called when it doesnt show.

Definitely Police call the general TPS number if you don't believe me and ask..

Toronto Police Service.The Emergency Call ****on on the blackberry triggers it. The phone may come unlocked and accidentally dial it. It has happened a few times to me. The people on the other line are very nice tho.Always felt embarrassed while talking to them.

Just got the same call. Asked me who was in the house, told him myself and my 6 month old. Phone was connected to my computer and locked. He said they had already answered and it was a woman on the line. Not in my house, today anyways.

This happened to last night and I was at the club...i don't need to call 911... dude called me and asked if everything was OK and i was creeped out...when i called the number back it was not working.

Same thing happened to me this evening, got a call from this number claiming to be "Toronto Police" saying that my cell phone was calling 911, is everything okay? According to my call log I did not make any calls to 911, however I do have a blackberry and the keypad was locked. There is a possibility it hit "emergency call", but I would think this would show in the call log. Tried to call the number back, but it doesn't ring, just drops.Su****ious.

416-343-7050 is apparently toronto police line (outcall only). when i call'd cops they couldn't (or didnt want to) give me much information about it. And the funniest thing happened, later that number (belive me or not) magically disappear from my phones call log. -good luck-

i got a call that showed up on my phone. when i tryed to call it, it would drop thge call. called the police and it is them..dont know why?

I got a call this evening, same thing, "this is the toronto police dept 911 services, we got a call from this cell #. Is everything ok?"  I hope this is not a scam of some sort.  I called it back and nothing, I got a busy signal. I think will call the police dept. and report this #.

Same thing happened to me...if you ask me it is Police:Surveillance and Patrol not Police:Serve and Protect.I think at this point the cops are phishing. If you ever knew a big dealer or some sketch bag thief and had called them...or perhaps even if you had a plumber you had called but he dabbles in weapons dealing, which you had no clue about.... well then maybe the cops are calling phones in that network and listening in for a few minutes to see if you reveal so****ing incriminating about yourself.n.b. this is only a theory and only to be considered paranoid if it was proven to be a useless waste of time for the cops. Maybe it is actually effective. impossible to say unless you were a cop and if you were...would you say?the reason i think this is because the cop who talked to me s****ed giving me the third degree about the convo they had listened in on. it made me very uncomfortable to be treated like a scab of society when i'm just sitting in my buddy's car talking about a ring he has to **** because a contractor still hasn't paid him for a tiling job he did six weeks ago.democ****:checks and balances...we clearly need some more of those.

Now it makes sense, same thing happened to me.  On my call log, it said that I did make an emergency call.  I have a blackberry, and when it is locked, and a key is pressed, there is an option to make an emergency call.  I guess enough keys were pressed, by accident, to make that emergency call.I'm not sure if this applies to other cell phones.

I was really embarrassed to find out that 416-343-7050 is one of their outbound lines. The man I spoke to said he has already had 15 cell phone mis-dials since he s****ed shift 3 hours ago. He said this happens all the time. I thought the call would have been logged on my blackberry like others out there but apparently not. I apologised for wasting their time and will now be locking my phone….Hope this helps folks.

Got a call on my cell - it went to message before I picked up.  Tried to call back but get a fast busy signal

yes a guy called from the above number saying:"your cell dialed 911, this is the police, do you have an emergency?"i said "no"***??

got a call from this number at 7 in the morning. the phone was charging beside the bed when i got a call from this number. there is no way i could have called 911 while asleep... that just doesn't make sense.

this number rang , my keypad was locked. they said that I called ....could not have , we were having dinner. So I called radio room & gave them the number & asked what was going on ...police switchboard said they do not recognize that as a police number ...so ***?

Got a call at our residence from this number and the person on the other line was asking for cell phone numbers and claimed that someone called 911.
