Leave a CommentI spoke with a man with an Indian accent who said his name was Eric. He asked for a Mrs. (my ***her's last name), and I was automatically su****ious because my mother kept her maiden name. He said that my parents entered this contest for their company, and they had this prize for our address. I asked him what address that would be, and he actually had it. Then I asked for specifics of the company, such as name, address, etc, he told me he was from the promotional department of "Ontario International" (I have never heard of such an ambiguous business name) located in Woodbridge. When I asked for the specific name of the contest my parents allegedly won, he quickly gave me his phone number and extension and asked my parents to call his supervisor. I, of course, wanted to test the legitimacy of his claims, so I went on google and typed in the "company name." Everything from schools to agencies to airports showed up, but no company based on Woodbridge. Then I tried to reverse search on 411.com, a***n nothing. Then I typed the number in here, and got you guys. Thanks for the heads up, might have actually wasted more than the 2 minutes he tried to spend convincing me otherwise!
when i got the call then i checked this site the i called them a***n and saidd that i m not interested but the told me i have to come only one time and see what is that about that company thats why i went there i said that let me see what is this when i went there i got my prize its an american based compay a reputated company and i called them a***n and said thanks to them..... i skope with steve park senior manager..
guys u know what i went there at 1510 drew road and i got the prize tis is nit a timeshare company its gud i liked this place .............
I had a very nice long chat with Shane - ext 147 - on May 5 regarding all of the wonderful prizes that were being offered to me because I had filled out a contest entry form. I know I hadn't hadn't done so but they siad I probably just forgot since it was a few months ago. I listened dutifully and responded when required as I watched TV and took down all of the information including my gift code and where I can pick up my prize after sitting through a 90 minute presentation - not a minute more at 1510 Drew Rd.I just called PhoneBusters to report them with all of the information. They're not exactly doing anything illegal but they are misleading.
I just spoke to Shane Smith 4165485983 x6060, He told me I won one of the 5 prizes and that I need to go to 1510 Drew RD with my wife. I kept this guy on the phone for over 45mins just completely messing with him the whole time. I had the guy so backwards he was telling me the prize was an SD HD LCD PLAMASMA WITH BLUERAY PLAYER AND NETFLICKS! The cruise ship was going to pick me up at the door. Since I didnt have a wife it was ok to bring my *** lover as long as we made more then 60,000 annually, I told him my lover was a ****** in downtown Toronto. I put it on speaker phone and let of bunch of people laugh at this guy babble about all the prizes I could win, I even gave him 3 or 4 different names during the entire call one of which was Jack Meoff. Which he didnt catch.
Do you know of anybody who actually went to the presentation? I'm just curios if they really hand out the free gifts??? How you know that they are stealing your iden***y, maybe they are really trying to sell their company by giving away enticing prices? Have anybody been victimized by such through this company?Anybody.....just curios?
I have to say i really appreciate this web page...all your posts fully confirmed my su****ions. I just got a call 5 minutes ago, from F Source international, and i got the same s***l as all of you. Then when he wanted to confirm my iden***y and asked me what i had filled out on the balllot as our household income, i knew this had to be a scam because i would never divulge that info. But i wanted to see how far he would take it and next he put me through to a manager named Daniel, who wanted me to make an appointment for the presentation. I asked him if it was a timeshare presentation and he said no, there's was a new company and they were spending money to make money by handing out prizes to people and the presentation was about their products... I asked him if he had a website, and he said, it would be ready in a week as they were a ***nd new company..lol Funny how all of you mention the accents, because this manager Daniel actually tried to hide his accent but when i s****ed laughing at his not having a website, it threw him for a loop, so all of a sudden he s****ed speaking faster his strong accent came out. I told him i would call him back, and he gave me the 416-548-5983 # with xt 243. i will not bother calling back to tell them off, since they will prob try to keep on the phone!!
They called 2 nights ago. I went along with it. The script got thrown off when I laughed. He thought I was laughing at him and he got nervous. Heavy accent. I got a prize claim number and was to meet on Drew Road. His manager, Mark Antonio (Mark Anthony, hmm...) said I was to come with my husband and be sure to have 2 pieces of ID, one photo. I was going to bring some ID that had expired and gave not identifying information except name. After reading these comments, we didn't go.Mark Antonio called back to confirm our coming and was rather upset (but civil) that I'd c****ed my mind. It threw him that I knew he wasn't after my money, he was after my iden***y. I laughed a***n. He ended the conversation. It would be good to hear from people who actually went to the 90 minute ("not one second more") presentation.
Same call, from someone who barely spoke English. During the call I came on this website adn read him the whole story he was trying to give me. Said I filled out a yellow ballot on December 17th 2009.It's funny because I was not here during that date. Either way go to www.pbcinc.ca,same outfit same prizes and same hard to understand people...and same phone number and same place in Mississauga, I yelled at this guyand then he passed me to his so called manager and he told me I wrote exactly what I was earning on the ballot...nice try, I never divulge that info....Beware, these guys are like leaches. Once they have you they will not let go.
I got the same call today at 10am. Some guy with a phony English name and a heavy South Asian accent called me telling me I filled out a ballet back in December and had been picked from a random draw as the winner. Funny thing is he could not tell me where and when I filled out the ballet.I went along with it just so I can google F Source international which brought me to this forum. Everything I read on this page was the exact same thing that happened on my phone call. My girlfriend immediately****umed they were scamming me to sell a timeshare. After reading this page she was totally right. They told me I had to go to 1510 Drew Rd, Mississauga to claim my prize. But I had no intentions of going in the first place. If they call me back (which they probably will) I will make sure its the last call!
just this minute got a call saying I won one of 5 prizes. $1500, 42" tv, furniture or one of two vacations. All I had to do was go to 1510 Drew Road, Mississauga located at Dixie and Derry. I did not have to do anything all I had to do was show up. I asked how they got my information and they said I filled out a coupon on December 17, 2009 however they would not tell me where I did this. I was speaking to one guy and then I said okay then another guy came on the phone, and that is when I got su****ious and ***g up on the guy.
I just had the exact same experience. I spoke with Ronnie, the Senior Manager. Everything they said was the same as what you all wrote here: I was guaranteed 1 of 5 prizes, it wasn't a time share, I didn't have to pay anything, it would 60-90 minutes max. After I ***g up I decided to look up F Source to find out if it was a scam and I came across this website so I decided to call back and cancel my appointment. The conversation to call back was almost as long as the initial call. Ronnie tried to guilt trip me into coming and told me he was only 23 years old, trying to make money for his family, so he could continue his education, he made $25 if I showed up, and he really needed me to come and support him. I said Wow, you're 23 and you're the senior manager? Anyway, he would not let me **** up so I just had to **** up eventually. DO NOT BOTHER.
I was just speaking with an agent (very heavy accent) from F. Source International who promised me all the same prizes as listed above, same spiel and guarantees. The address was the same Mississauga location, but the number they called from was 9052411043 and Daniel, Sr. Manager contact number is 4165485984 ext. 2424. I'm glad I did a name search because when I asked about the length of time in business and if they will check out okay with the BBB, Daniel was very confident. Thank you all for keeping things real. This will really help a lot of people.
I googled the name of the company while the agent was on the phone, and found all these comments. I read them back to him asked him how long I would be there (just playing) and he's like "oh not long" I said buddy, 10 minutes is too much of my time! He said but but but 15 other couples are coming today. Good for them. Not interested
This is not just a sales pitch, it's an iden***y theft ring. They want married couples because married folks usually have better credit (home loan, multiple credit cards ext). Once they have your ID they can use it or sell it. Beware, contact equifax if you went to their presentation and gave them your ID, make sure they haven't stolen your iden***y.
Considering I dont shop at Walmart, Cdn Tire or Hakim optical OR ever fill out ballots (for this exact reason), I was sure this had to be a scam. What 'legitimate' company does not have a website? The demographic requirements and 90mins to get your prize reaks of TIMESHARE. I can imagine what the 1 of 5 prize box looks like... 1 tv and 5000 trips to Niagra Falls where you have to listen to a timeshare presentation. No thanks.Any way, thanks everyone for confirming my su****ion. There is no way I am going near Drew Road! I hope they call back to ask why i didnt show up!
I just got a call from this number and was asked if I filled out a coupon in a Wal-mart or Ca***ian Tire between September and January and that I won a prize....just had to come down there and pull one of the 5 prizes out of a box. I was very su****ious. The company was F Source International, 1510 Drew Rd. Mississauga, phone number 416-548-5984I spoke with Jeff Jordan and Joe Valentino or Ronnie (Manager ext. 121) (both of which had very strong accents)BE WARY BE AWARE! Things are not free in life.
I just got a call too - the guy wasnt making any sense but the same idea. I purchased a gift card at walmart or ca***ian tire - he was calling to tell me that I won 5 great prizes. I said the person he needed to talk to wasnt in but I would take his number and have her call him back. I tried a reverse look up and then just typed in the number and came up with this thread. His name (although he was awful to understand) was kevin. the company was FSI and the phone number is 416 548 5983 ext 2424
Well i got coll to the same number. Bat I learn noting is free in Ca***a so I check on net. Thanks for information about this scam.
Got a call from Michael Jaminski who cleary sounded South Asian but I went along with it anyway. He said I won one of 5 prizes just come down to 1510 Drew Rd in Mississauga to draw for my guaranteed prize. After talking to a couple of people about my ****** of luck they said that they thought it was a scam and a waste of time to go. I then tried to google F source International and could not find a web site and just happened along the comments above. I feel so ******! I almost went, I thought the Gods were shining there light on me...lolOh well!
Just got the same call - they won't take no for an answer. I have a time to go this week but don't plan to show up. F Source International is the name of the company they represent and of course they say you won a prize and you have to go to 1510 Drew North to pick it up, but that can't ahppen until you show 2 pieces of ID and it will take 60-90 minutes before you get your prize. I wonder if anyone ever goes?
Just received a phone call from them. Same stuff as above -- I won one-of-five prizes from a ballot that I signed up for in December. After eight minutes I got tired of this. Asked to get a number to call them back. The guy said his name was Alex Fernandez, 416-548-5983, ext. 071.I appreciate the info given above. I won't be calling back, but when they call back I'll be making sure they never call a***n.
Call was to tell me 1 won 1 of 5 prizes from a draw I entered in a mall at Christmas. The company was F Source International, 1510 Drew Rd. Mississauga, phone number 416-548-5983I spoke with John Michael and Sarah Chelsea (ID#***) (both of which had very strong accents)Apparently I filled out the ticket and I wasn't suppose to because my age isn't within the range they gave me 27-65. But that's OK because Sarah Chelsea just said to bring ID that didn't show my age, and that my partner must attend with me or I could be disqualified.
I just got a call from this number and was asked if I filled out a coupon in a Wal-mart or Ca***ian Tire between September and January and that I won a prize....just had to come down there and pull one of the 5 prizes out of a box. I was very su****ious. They said I had to go to 1510 Drew Road in Mississauga, no strings attached, no timeshare, no need to give any money....seemed to good to be true. They offered me some time slots to go down for my prize. I told them I would check with my partner and call back. I immediately typed in their phone number 416-548-5984 into a search and found this sight with others complaining that this is a fraud. If it sounds too good to be true...it usually IS too good to be true!!! PS: the number they called from was 905-241-1055. The above mentioned number was the number they gave me to call back at extension 111 Michael. I will NOT be calling back after finding this info.
I received a call from these people at 9:30 PM Friday night. They told me the same story as above.I played along for a while and told them that I would come to 1510 Drew Rd by myself to claim the prize. I was told that I had to bring my wife since the prize was for both of us. The managers name I got was Michael Demersky at extension 147. The original caller was Alex.
I make notes on these guys on all boards... check 1800 notes.com!
Called saying that I won 1 of 5 prizes just come down to 1510 Drew Road, Unit 6 to pick one of the prizes.I LOVE THESE GUYS ( I yelled @ one of them and they called back to harass, so beware if you do not think this is funny)So I called the Phone Busters of Ca***a, this is a great scam, they get you to go to the centre and to sit through a presentation for a timeshare. Here is how it works, They all have english names ( none are english )AndrewJenny DasousaJames etc...They are local people, they are seperate from the company that provides the timeshares ( they are LEGIT and you cannot do anything ) they are just telemarketers.I collect the information and harass them periodically.Phone # 1 416-548-5982 , if you c****e the last digit you get another agent. Call the next agent ask for the same person that called you. They always ask for the ext when you call back, just tell them you spoke to the supervisor ( James, or Andrew ) Tell them that you do not have the ext, or use one of the above extentions people have posted in the blog. They block your # when you call back so then just call from a friends cell or so****ing and let it ring then have fun. Put them on speaker and try to get them mad. They will stay on the phone the whole time, I like to play a game where we record the call then try to keep them on longer the next time. Call back with a different voice the next day! Youtube the clips after under calls to telemarketers. The best thing to do is to ask forAndrew, James, Jenny Desousa, William Lee, John Mathew. When you call in they ask you who were you speaking to? And what was your name? What is your code ( R-1575 ) there are many posted in this blog.I like to use a generic name: Mohammed etc...So far the following numbers work:416-548-5981416-548-5982416-548-5983416-548-5984416-548-5985 ( Busy signal )Will update further..UPDATE:Called and asked for SEAN RICHARDO ext:117. They will transfer you right to someone! He must be the office manager, as when I use other names they question me more about when I called in. ( I imagine as most call centres , they do their calling on Sat, jus tell them Sat ) Use a generic name like Mike or Mohammed and they put you through and you can have fun!
William Lee called me almost exactly 24 hours after the original call wondering if I had discussed it with wife yet and would I now like to set up an appointment. I said we aren't interested, and inquired about whether it was about timeshare and the like. He craftily said "We are not a time share company, nor do we deal in any kind of property." Well, OF COURSE they don't. As William Habib says above, they are just the telemarketers. Anyway, since then there have been a couple of "****ups" on our messaging but we have had not further specific calls from this number. Let us hope that is the end of it!
I am also bothered by these telemarketer calls. Mine was at about 9a.m. Fri. 29 January. But these "poor people" ****erally!) should not be the target of our harrassment, anger, yelling, or timewasting. We all have better things to do than have fun at their expense. It doesn't work; it's part of the job for them. If they are commissioned by call, we do not want to deprive them of that by keeping them on the line. The jobs are important for them. Better they lose employment indirectly by our putting the telemarketer out of business, but I don't think that's going to happen! The person I spoke with obviously has not been in Ca***a for long. They are trained to handle a call in a certain way and may not be aware of the implications to the customer.Note to William Habib: I was connected to supervisor William Lee, who did not sound like an English, ****ese, or Korean Lee. His accent was from somewhere in between. And by the way, Desousa is not an English name, but there are lots of Desousa and Desouza out there who are not Portuguese or ***zilian either. I didn't ask for the lady's surname. But really, who cares if they are English or "Lower Slobovian"! Having worked at a call centre myself, I know that some people prefer to use a "nom de plume", or should I say "nom d'appel" to avoid future annoyances. ***ody likes getting a call at home in the middle of the night.
