I received four garbled text messages on the afternoon of Dec/28. these messages contained only a string of letters and numbers. very strange.

Lets take a class action as this is not criminal but definitely a civil lawsuit could be worth millions to get the phone provider who is allowing 416-555-2121 to bother us all. Everthing is traceable including this e-mail.

I received three in a row of these messages on Bell Prepaied Sanyo phone.Whasss up??

I received this message today, also in two parts. So****in weird is that I thought the numbers wit 555 didn't exist... but I received q message from it. I'm using the LG****or with ****** mobile. By chance every text message received with ****** are Free!

I got the same thing today... two of them, my sister tried to send me a picture to my Samsung phone. I'm also with ******.

I have been getting these, two at a time, every week for a month now, the phone's five months old so my number has spread out a bit, but still! I called Bell, and they said "Just send a text back that says "STOP." I did that, but then today I got it a***n! ****es me off.

Just got 4 of the same messages when my husband tried sending me a photo...I have the Samsung Link through ****** mobile. I am calling to make a complaint; this is not the only issue I have had with the phone unfortunately :( but the plan beats the other companies out there...

I just got, i think it was five, of these text messages in a row. It looks like it has so****ing to do with ****** mobile because im also with ****** along with a lot of other commenters. O and I have the samsung vice not the****our 2 if that helps.

I got the****or 2 a few days back, and Ive gotten these texts 2 days in a row. It must be so****ing to do with the phone, because some commetns are about the****or to.... I personally think its a code, but to what? The 416 is the area code for Toronto, but that probably doesnt help. This is really creeping me out, and I think so****ing should be done about it.

4 random gibrish nonsense text msg in a row. Don't want to scare anyone, but if you have some reason why someone would want to tap into your phone. C****e your number' provider. I had it happen to 3 phones of mine, in under 2 months. Just a warning. I do know for sure my phone's have been tapped. Talked to local police or service provider. I am currently with Bell.

I got the same thing on a Samsung Instinct.  And only my dad has my number as it is ***nd new.  Got for in a row - same script as above.  Very odd.  Plus I have free incoming text - so i doubt that its a money grabbing scam by providers.Very strange!  Even more strange is the 3 websites with this discussion about the same number that doesn't exist!

I just got these same messages a few mins ago and googled the number.. what do ya know...

I'm in the 780 area code and I've just received the same two messages. I have a firewall on my BlackBerry and if this continues I'm going to enable it and see if it will block these texts. Also, if enough people call their providers, a 'harra*****t investigation' is conducted between your provider and your local police. I've done it before.
