Leave a CommentCalled me and I didnt answer and I dont have anything with Scotia Bank either, those money grubbers!
oh!.. and i dont deal with scotia bank i dont even have an account with them.
weird.. i got the same thing today.. the person knew my name and all but ***g up on me...
Scotia informing me they sent a new Chip card and it needed to be activated.
automated scotiabank message - i let it go to voicemail - just telling me to activate new debit card with chip in it if i hadn't already
It was Scotia telling me to activate my new debit card with the chip in it, but the number was different. It was 613 524-9948
it was scotiabank reminding me to activate my new 'chip' card...I did that last week...those ******s.
I got a call from this number yes****ay and today. My voicemail is full so I dont know what the message could have been. But the su****ious activity idea sounds reasonable, because I've been transferring all my money to BMO.:)
No one answered. An Automated message said to me "Welcome to Scotia Bank. We tried to contact you recently and we're sorry we missed you. We may try to call back in the near future. Thank you" Um....okay...shouldn't I be able to reach someone? I'm waiting to see if my Visa application was approved.
It was Scotia telling me to activate my new debit card with the chip in it.
I got a call from this phone # today. I'm not a scotiabank customer, so I don't see why there would be any fraudulent activity on a non-existant card.In general, NEVER give out any information if someone calls you. Get their #, verify it and call them back with the information if you have to. It's always safer to just go into a ***nch and deal with it.
someone called and asked if i was the honey lol and huom
This is very annoying! If a message is so important, you would not be put on hold. Now,even when this number shows up,I never answer and my answering ma****e is always on,but they never leave a message. I have already put a complaint in with the Head Office about another phone number that kept calling. So now,if I do not recognize a number-forget it! There is always the Post Office and if it is so important, they can mail me the information. Then I would check that out with my local ***nch too, before submitting anything to the writer!
They asked me about overdraft for my visa...I called my ***nch they don't do that...told me it was a scam
I did end up calling scotia bank cause I checked my banking limits and they had reduced them to 1$ a day for my debit and withdrawls. They told what they do is is when a card has been used somewhere where fraud has been detected before that is when they put the card on hold. So it was an actual call from Scotia. And I guess they really seem to try to save their customers ****s from getting scammed.
I just got a call from this number. I've only had my scotia card for just over a month and didn't use it at all yes****ay, so I'm confused about why they would think there is su****ious reactivity on it. O welll, guess I'll go to thank bank.
I got similar call automated from scotiabank about my atm card being compromised.I did go to the bank and it is a call generated by them appears to by a random check up on scotia cards you are asked to bring i.d.s to the bank.
This is most likely someone trying to fraudently get financial information from you. I got a call from someone named Amanda at 416-750-6018 saying that there were su****ious transactions on my Scotia Visa card. I was to return their call to verify information. However, I happened to be checking recent transactions and could tell that there had not been any transactions on my card in months. Beware of phone calls like these.
I was called by this number too, automated voice said it was Scotiabank with important message about my Visa. Put me on hold to speak to a person. I got su****ious and ***g up after about 2 minutes.
