Is *** scaming saying has peoples ***** photos will psot online if you do not pay

This person contacted me in a chat type situation, we talked a bit (Text). She asked for a picture, innocent enough. Later in the evening a new message, with a **** male picture, my picture next to it. Threatening to say, I'm not exactly sure, But to expose me in some way across the internet & to family unless I paid up. I don't know what the scam is Only thing comes to mind is extortion or Blackmail. But she was able to put quiet the story together just with my contact info, my family ,past addresses & job. I don't think this is her first time to do this. But I do see that someone could be prompted to pay her. It is a cyber crime.
