called me and didn't leave a message.

This number calls NUMEROUS times throughout the day.  I am not answering it.  Even when you give to the sheriffs office, the same number calls back a couple months later.  Question for anyone...If you tell them you will give a donation and the papers come in the mail, are you legally held to give them the money if you c****e your mind?

This is happening to us too.  I get so annoyed when I see this number in my caller ID.  A few months ago, some guy gave me the pitch that my husband donated money the previous year and did I want to donate the same amout this year to help battered women and kids.  I explained to him that we give through our payroll to CFC.  Call it a weak moment, but he nagged me until I agreed to donate $15.00 if he sent me some literature.  The junk he sent me proved to be questionable (looked homemade).  We reported him to the BBB, but they still keep calling all hours of the day into the night.  Except for buying a call blocker from the phone company, does any one know of a free way to stop these people?

They have been calling me for months!  After reading this and having caller ID, I have just let it ring.  Our phone was shut off for about a month because we couldn't pay our bill and I figured their computers would remove us from the list when they were getting voice clarification that the phone had been disconnected, but then we paid our bill and got our phone back on and they are back to calling a***n.  They have called clear up to probably 7 or 8 p.m. and they call 2 to 3 times a day 7 DAYS A WEEK!  They won't tell my husband what their call is in regards to, because they have to speak to me.  They are still calling after my husband told them I moved out!!!  I dang sure wouldn't donate money to these idiots after this much harassment, what are they thinking!!!

A couple months ago called ask for my husband. I gave the phone to him and he spoke to them in his native Sicilian. They haven't called back until today. I guess they need another Sicilian lesson.

Caller does not leave message.  Very rude

This company calls and calls. I finally answered the phone and when I stated my husband was not here, I asked him to quit calling. He stated that 'since that's the way I was, he'd make sure and keep calling us over and over'.  How do I stop this????? HELP!!!

they called today and asked for the people who previously had my number - thus they had a name to go with the phone #. when i said they dont have this # anymore they ***g up quickly. I called back - no one answered. Interesting - I have private caller block and the caller id said this was a private caller.

CJK is correct. There are only two ways to get them to stop. One is not to answer your phone and not letting your answering ma****e take the call either. This way, hopefully their computer dialer will think your phone number is not****igned to anyone living and delete your number from their list. Another way is to answer the phone, explain nicely that you either are giving to their****ociation or that you are not interested, put your number on their do not call list and not to call back a***n. You could tell this info directly to their supervisor to make sure it gets to the correct person in charge. The people calling you are hired to just do their job as they are told to do it, which it should always be in a polite manner. If they are rude when you are not, that person should be reported to the supervisor also. But, if you are being rude, well... I hope that you have good reason. They have been calling me also and leave no message. I haven't had the chance to talk to them myself to tell them anything however. They only call me during business hours and only once every two or three days. I do wish that I could be here to answer the phone to save them their time and mine though. Just remember, it is a computer dialer dialing your number, not the person that you will finally talk to. Ask for the supervisor, tell them of all the calls and **** ups after you have answered and to put you on their do not call list. They then must put you on their list but, will not stop future non-profit calls to your number from other companies.

They called twice today and always ask for my wife. The second time I told them who I was and asked him if he knew there were ***dreds of folks looking for them and that the word is they are a scam. He put his supervisor on who explained they are called Safety Services LLC and they gather donations for police organizations. He explained they are non-profit so the donotcall list doesn't apply and he offered to remove my name from the list. We'll see if they call a***n. They are based in Toledo Ohio but he refused to give an address (seems a little fishy if they are supposedly reputable).

Have gotten repeated calls from this number a few months ago.They s****ed calling a***n tonight. "blocked number" shows up on the caller ID and then they **** up when I answer and if I call back, they don't answer.

I've received a call seven times today from this number. Apparently it is a contracted telemarketer who raise funds for many sheriff****ociations and the like. The****ociations hire them because they are the lowest bidder. They are raising funds for a non profit, so I do not believe the "Do Not Call" applies. The reason most get no answer when they call is because the calls are made by an automatic dialer.  The equipment is given a massive list of numbers to call and then it dials them repeatedly.  It keeps records of when the phone was answered, so that it can call back later if no one answers.  If you do answer, the call is transfered to a live person -- sometimes.  If all the people are busy when you answer the call, the equipment ****s up on you. I think since they are apparently a bare ****s operation, this is what happens most of the time.

This # shows on my CID three times a day, every day-there's never a message & the CID shows 'BLOCKED NAME'.What do they want?

I agree with Private name above. Why does the national "Do Not Call" people stop this. This number has appeared on my caller ID throughout the day when I'm at work and they call a***n in the evening and just **** up.

Said he was collecting for some law enforcement organization. Wanted a commitment for a donation and wanted to verify my home address.

Received a call from this phone number on 10/16/07 at 2:04pm EST.  The person that called identified himself as someone from the Sheriff's department.  He wanted a donation to fund a program that supports the safety of women and children basically.  Once I told him I'm not employed, he immediately ***g the phone up.  What a FRAUD!

A man by the name Dan Fields called and was very rude and aggressive. He was asking for the parents of the house and he didn't know that I was the parent. When I asked him to identify himself he kept swaying from the question and got really nasty. I called the number a***n and got no answer. The cid was the same # that everyone keeps getting 419-747-9385

received call at 6:46PM cst 8/27/07 no answer.

Someone spamming with pretence of representing a law enforcement group. Has called twice.

Someone call our home and when I answered the phone, he or she ***g up. I call the number (419-474-9385) that showed up on my caller ID and the phone rings several times, but no one answer. I wrote the number down. I received a 2nd call, the same thing happens---no one answer. I called the number once a***n and no one pick up the phone. This is harrassment! I need to have this person and company from calling my home.
