The male called my mother's phone number and asked for me by first name. He wouldn't identify himself when my mother asked him to. When my mother a***n asked him to iden***y himself he said that he was the police. The call was made to my mother's phone approximately at 9:15 p.m. The phone number on her caller ID shows it being a Kingsport TN phone number. Kingsport is at least 2 hours away from where I live. I don't know anyone who lives in Kingsport and I don't give out my mother's phone number so I have no idea what that call was all about. I believe it was a scammer trying to scare my mother. I have reported the phone number to the local police where I live however.
