Suspicious credit card charge
Application for a Wayfair credit card
Dxffgvv
3 times left inaudible messages. Sounds like an Indian accent, but hard to understand. Very disruptive.
she called to continue a conversation I initiated to citibank
Man with hard to understand accent called twice and left a voice mail. Said it was an important message regarding a home depot credit card. To call back at a different number or number on card . We don’t have a Home Depot credit card.
I told her no!!!!!!! stop calling this number has called me several times
Female individual with Tennessee accent advised there had been an application for a Home Depot credit card. She wanted verification. I advised I had made no such application. She then wanted verification of Telephone number. I advised that since I did not know who she was that I would not supply her with any additional information. At this point the call was terminated.
This is very legit. They called from Citibank and said someone tried to open an account in my name. It also showed on my credit report along with Discover. I'm very thankful that they called.
needed information
somehow they knee we applied for a cc and i thought it was legit at first bc the store was correct- scam scam scan
no name....calling about the Citi credit card. said to call the number on the back of my card. No reason was given as to why she is calling. I will call Citi bank using the phone number on the back of my card to report this or to see if they have questions on my acct. But this did sound fishy.
Lady left voicemail , had my full name and asked for me to call back by a different phone number and provided a case number for me to supply them with. Told me they needed additional information for my recent credit application. I googled the phone number she called from and found this website and that this was a scam.
HOLD ACCOUNT
When I added my debit card to Apple Pay, it transferred me to Citibank 855.744.4792. The person who called me back is Noe from 423.467.6460. It made me feel uncomfortable, but she claimed to removing the alert so that I could add my debit card.
Caller is obviously SHADY.. called several times.. claims to be with credit card companies, Costco and others. Avoid. this caller, like they have the plague.
Posed as Bank Of America
Supposedly from Citibank fraud asking to verify some charges. NOT from Citibank!
Scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Calls and hangs up
Accented voice asked for me, using my name, ID'd herself as Citibank, checking on info for account opening. Asked for dob and last 4 of SS#. I indicated I had not applied for said card and had no relationship w Citibank. Gave me a number to call "fraud dept", which can be found nowhere in connection to Citibank. Just one more scam among many.
Phishing attempt
asking to verify my recent transfer and they have my account info!
Called speaking about transactions on my citi card and tried to scam me. I’m to smart for them. This whole world is a scam so you gotta throw an 0-2 slider in the dirt to get me. You can’t come w that Zack Greinke 88mph 2 seam. I sniff that **** immediately. ***** tried saying if I don’t give her my account info she will block my account.
It was from an internal department at Citibank, trying to confirm an online transaction
Called was made on Sunday. He called about a recent transaction from another bank to Citibank. He managed to get the other back rep on three way conversation to verify the transfer. Luckily, i stopped when he asked for the card number. I said i would go to the bank and verify in person. What bother me is how he knew exactly my transaction details..
Said she was calling about suspicious activity on my Shell account. She knew my last 2 transactions. Wanted another phone # for the account. Did not give info. Told her we would call Shell.
Call from Citi bank
Message named who message was for saying consumer protection shows charge on best buy and may pause card and said # to call back 18775601088 I didn’t call after seeing on here # is a scam
This is a SCAM. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO.
It said "You reach citi" after calling back. It's a scammer.
Left a message claiming to be Best Buy fraud department stating that a new account was opened and they were willing to close down the account if I gave my personal information. Total phishing scam! Ignore everything from this caller.
Telling my elderly relative she is his daughter and wants him to take a DNA test. She said she does not know who her mother is. She said she’s 49 but she looks much older (60’s). He would have been in the Vitatnam war and in his 20’s. She wants money of course.
left me a voicemail that my simplicity master card (citi cc) had some weird charges on it asked me to call back. I called the 1800 # on the back of my citi card and they said they never called me
scam
Calls too much
Said they were Zales confirming I wanted to open an account. Don't give them any personal info.
I don‘t know whether it‘s a spam but i did feel suspicious and now found comments on this number. They said they‘re citibank fraud dept. asking whether i payed with my credit card for something i actually did pay for. They knew exactly what i payed for. They promised to call back, because i didn‘t receive their sms for some reason. So i decided to call my local citibank myself and ask if it was their call. I couldn‘t connect to the local office and was automatically transferred to a 24 hour customer service. They asked me loads of security questions but didn‘t ask what i was actually calling for. They said the‘d send me an sms too, which i too didn‘t receive so the woman said her name was Ruth and that she‘d call me in a moment. And she did from this very number saying it was Ruth and that we‘ve just talked. The voice seemed slightly different, but it‘s probably my imagination, because once i saw this number i prepared myself for everything else but Ruth. Now, I don‘t believe someone has actually corrupted either my or the citibank telephone number and listens to calls but i am going to citibank in person today. Just in case.
This people have been calling about citi bank there full of shyt dont answer dont give any info
Recently had some fraudulent charges on our Citibank debit card which they cleaned up and issued new cards. Got a call today from THIS phone number and left voicemail saying they were from Citibank Fraud Dept and please call them at yet ANOTHER number with an 866 area code. If I called back the 423 number it says to call Citibank at some 800 number. TOTAL PHISHING SCAM. Don't give out any info to them
Person called me left message that i am having some suspicious activity in me account can't even speak clearly but he had my info like my full name but he did not mention clearly which account.i have feeling its a scam be aware....
I received a phone call yesterday from 423-467-6460 claiming to be Best Buy and that there was activity on my Best Card credit card. I don't even own this credit card. When I called them back they wanted my social security #. I called Best Buy and they never called me. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION !!!! SCAM
Received a call twice from this number, both to which I did not pick up. Voice message was left for Jose something (not my name) stating that they were from Citibank Fraudulent department? and that my citibank simplicity card is being used by a third party member. I don't have this credit card. They asked that I called back this number, or 1-866-517-5347. Checked my credit card online, and nothing seems to be wrong, so verdict: scam.
I was a victim of identity theft. I got a call from this number today it was picked up by the voice messaging, Caller hung up left no message. Half of my calls are BS calls. What a world we live in!
My wallet was stolen today and I kept getting calls from this number. When I pick up they hang up. My husband call them back and they have a weird automated message saying it is the credit card company. Do not give any information.
Called me 7 times. I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number. I received an email a second later from my credit card company saying that someone had tried to access my account. Do NOT give this person any information
called claiming to be Best Buy Credit services, said someone tried to open a card in my name, asked for last 4 of my SS#. I declined and called Best Buy direct from their website - they confirmed no card had been used. This was likely a scammer.
