rECEIVED TEXT MESSAGE REGARDING MY ACHIEVE CARD. DO NOT HAVE THIS CARD DELETED MESSAGE FROM MY PHONE.

I have received several texts telling me to call about my Achieve card account. I have no such card/account. I would ignore them, but they continue to harass me.

Text received at 5:41PM CT ([Achieve-Card]) Call: Regarding Your Account. I do not have an achieve card so I ignored the text.

They sent me a text about "my account" and a website to go to... Don't think so!

If you get a text message from vtext.com, asking you to call a phone number, do *not* call it! It is an automated scam that tries to collect your social security number and account number (if not more). The text message I received this morning was from [email protected] and said, "[[Achieve-Card]] Call: (423)709-8027 Regarding Your Account". I too received a random text message from unknown sender, [email protected] "([Achieve-Card]) Call: (423)709-8027 Regarding Your Account." I also have no account with any organization that would send me a text requesting a call and have never heard from "Achieve-Card" in my life. I did not call and deleted the message. So far the Earth has kept spinning and all is good!

Just discovered that Achieve Card is a prepaid credit card. Since most people who required prepaid credit cards are overly savvy when it comes to money matters I am guessing this is someone seeking to commit fraud by preying on this particular group's inability to spot a bad financial decision when they hear see and and convince them in some way to fork over money. Just a guess and I'm not trying to stereotype but if you look at the typical prepaid credit card user it's people who aren't overly adept at handling money who therefore cannot get a standard credit card.
