AMY Been trying to call this number back and i get a busy signal or your call cannot be completed as dialed. some one shut this number down already?

i got the same call and they left a msg on my phone. his name is Adam Book(think) and told me to call back or have my attorney call  them. will call them back today and give them a chewing out. **** scammers!

I received a call from this number also on yester 08/03/2010. Stating to contact they write now with my Attorney information regarding a important matter. I did not return the call. I also received another call last week from the same type of people. stating that my name and ss# has a law suit a***nst it. but a different phone number. 9149303200 number fax number 64678***34.

I received a similar call today. I had filed bankruptcy and included 3 payday loans. As far as I know payday loans in CA can't result in criminal charges. He wouldn't send me any do***entation regarding the loan he was talking about and if I don't send 987.52 to him by tomorrow morning with a notorized letter stating I had good intentions of paying, I will not dispute the transaction, and with my credit card information that I would be facing 3 federal charges. On one message he said, "If you don't return this call, or your attorney on record, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you. Goodbye." Creepy!

This just happened to me today!!! Same exact dollar amount and everything!!!!!!

One small point, Creditors do NOT have a right to collect "bad debt".  Bad debt being debt that is barred from being collected because they waited too long to collect it.  Many scams like this buy this so-called old debt for pennies on the dollar and then call and scare people into sending money anyways.NEVER agree to send money or sign a statement that you owe money without seeing proper do***entation and after consultation with an attorney.

On August 2, 2010 I was contacted by a law office ***led “Law Group of California” stating that an outstanding payday loan has been sent to their law office and they are representing “U.S. Loans.” The Law office verified my last 4 digits of my SS# as well as name. They briefed me on my affidavit and said I would be charged with:1. Violation of Federal Banking Regulations2. Collection Fraud3. Theft by DeceptionThe person in contact was: Steven McDonald at (424) 239-6150. He demanded the attorney fees they were seeking would be $5,000 and if my attorney did not contact them by today (August 2nd) he would be issuing a subpoena to the Texas Attorney General for the above charges. He then stated that he would have his “investigative team” “pick me up” if my attorney did not contact him today.They got mad when I told them my attorneys will be contacting them tomorrow and did not want to release their address…sketchy but I am canceling my account and monitoring my SS # as well as talking to my attorney.

This is good too!  They made it personal.  Silly *******s!

I am sorry that this is happening to all of you.  Once a***n, never, ever get a payday loan.  I encourage you not to parti****te in the conversation when you receive a collection call.  By that I mean you should say, "Thank you very much for calling" and gently **** up.  You will not reduce yourself to their level and will not become upset at that the threats from the caller.  The fun part is that by thanking them for calling and then ****ing up, you will irriate the***** out of the caller.  If they call back you should repeat the process.  You are the Bigger Bully by not parti****ting in the conversation.  The truth is, collections companys threaten remedys that are not available to them.  Their job is not to be understanding, care or offer a solution.  These people are hired to collect money.  If they don't do their job, they don't have one.  The Fair Debt Collection Act was put in place to protect people from this kind of harassment.  But, at the same time, creditors have the right to collect on bad debts.

i have receive 4 calls from this # saying i took out a payday loan for $225.00 and that I have not paid it back and I now have 3 charges a***nst me and that I will be going to jail if I dont pay them said the was from a law office I told them I was calling my lawyer the ***g up on me said it was from UScash payday loans

So these people called me also. Obviously a scammer. So just like their other one (dept of law and investigation) i called them back, 54 times from a couple numbers. They told me i was going to be sent to Afghanistan, and stop calling. I told them for every 1 call from them i get, they will get 45-50 from me, talking about everything from the weather to why pizza is a great comfort food. I also signed up this number for several call lists and other telemarketing offers. I have an app for my smart phone called caller id faker and called them back, listing their number as mine. That one threw them for a loop. I also told them they had a subpoena for their arrest too, (fyi, a subpoena is not so****ing issued for arrest, nor is an affidavit, only a warrant.) They haven't called back for a bit so i guess they just have no love for me.

I have been harassed by these people for two weeks. They claim I would be getting a call from police officer. The number they gave me for an Officer David Warner was a disconnected number. Scammers!

Called me and said I owe some payday loan and I needed to pay it now or I would go to jail.  Told me I would lose everything if I didn't pay him 871.46 immediately.  Wouldn't give me any info on when or where I took this supposed loan out.  Just kept telling me I was going to jail!!!  Said he was  lawyer for US Cash??

I forgot to mention in my previous post that payday loans are NOT hot checks -- they are unsecured debts and are dischargable in bankruptcy.  Also, if you receive a phone call at work you should tell the caller that you will lose your job if they contact you a***n.  You should not receive any more calls at the work place.

The compnay that is calling you  is collecting on a payday loan that you owe.  This country does not have debtor's prisons and you cannot be arrested for not paying your bills.  If you have given your checking account information to any of these organizations, you should close that account.  Please, never, ever get a payday loan -- it is legalized loan-sharking and takes advantage of the poor.  If you owe a great deal in payday loans it may be in your best interest to consider filing bankruptcy.

This is bu***hit this people scared the s**t out of me lol and im pregnant i though i was gonna give birth to my babygirl at 6months right their when they told me that some loan company had press some charges on me for not paying a loan.. and  if i dont pay 1000 i was going to jail and that some investigaters where picking me up on tuesday morning.. but this geeks can get to you fast.. and trick you with your information..

Received a call at work stating that I had 3 criminal charges a***nst me  from US Cash and I had to pay 5484.87 in order to make this go away.

Got a call from this number saying that there were 3 criminal charges a***nst me. That I was going to be taken to jail if I did not pay $1000 by friday... They wanted to know if I had any criminal charges a***nst me? I was sooo scared, thought I was going to jail. Come to find that the Law Office Of California has been called a lot of people saying the same exact thing. Contacted my attorney and they said huge scam, don't send any thing to them!!!

RECEIVED A CALL AT WORK AND CELL PHONE SAYING THAT THIS IS SERIOUS AND I GOT EXTREME CRIMINAL CHARGES A***NST ME AND THAT THE ATTORNEY OF RECORD NEED TO CALL THEM..TIME SENSITIVE AND WISH ME LUCK ON FRIDAY...SCAMMERS!
