I am so sick of receiving harassing phone calls from foreign people leaving 424-240-8567 and 760-514-0198 as a call back number. A different number shows up on my caller ID (1000 and 513-785-2011 which is actually a retrirement home). This is the 4th call that I've received. I received a call last year at work, a call last month and two calls this week. One contact name claims to be Charles Green, and anothe is ****ne. They state that the matter is time sensitive and that I need to call or have my attorney call. They state that I shouldn't ignore the call. The first time they called they stated that I had taken a pay day loan and I could settle the debt without them taking me to court if I gave them my credit card number and paid 350.00 over the phone. When I confronted them, they were defensive, ***g up on me etc. It's hard to understand what they are saying. I think it's legal internal group or so****ing.

So my friend got a call from 424-240-8567, She called me and I contacted them I spoke w/ a Charles G. who stated they were a Legal Office and that I had file on his desk and unless I paid immediately they were going to take me to court.  They stated that I took a loan from Cash Partners of America or one of their online payday loan, which I cannot find a number for, he said he could not give me the information such as the Date of the Loan, he only told me it was for 300.00 and if I let it go to court that they were pressing charges for 3 accounts all felonies.  I broke down and got all upset, he stated that instead of the 5484.87 that I would have to pay in court that he could do an immediate payment of 1902.00, that they would have to send me a legal do***ent via fax and I could give them my credit card. I asked what bank and it was a bank that I have not used in over a year, that is now closed. I went to the bank they see no deposits for 300.00, Charles stated that since I cannot pay and he has been so kind to wait for the payment is is proceeding with the charges. I'm completely terrified.  *UPDATE* I just called back and someone named Jason answered. All of a sudden they don't want the payment, he needs my work information so he can send a warrant and call my job. Is this LEGAL? They stated they have over 500 payday websites and they cannot tell me which one I applied to or got funds from. I cannot remember back that far since he's saying it's 09/2008

what should i do if this person calls me back on friday like she said she would?

Everyone should be happy to know that I personally contacted this number and warned the person I spoke with of the penalties for what they are doing under US laws.  Do not put any stock into what this person says/threatens.  It is a scam.

These people called my wife and threatened her with jail time for a loan that she allegedly took out.  They refused to send her any sort of billing information or details about the loan.  All the guy said was "you'll go to jail if you don't pay now."

i received a call on friday the 26th and saying that i owed $ and needed to pay i told them i dont have money and she said she would give me till this friday to come up with it and they have the lst 4 of my social and they have the name of where i work and they called my husbands # leaving the message for me and also saying that they were gonna come find me at my job or place of home. should i ignore this? the # came up at 000-0 but they gave me 242-240-8567 as a call back #.

These "people" have been calling my cell number and my work phone now for almost a year. I tell them, if this is a real legal matter then they will send me so****ing by certified US postal mail that I have to sign for and only then will I discuss anything with them. Then they flounder and say they can't do it and I telll them "why not, the cost should be paid by w***ver retained you and by the way who would that be". Then they come up with some bogus name or **** up - I have reported it to my state's attorney's office and to the local FBI office. Why the***** can't they catch there people? It is so ****** that this has been going for a year now and they haven't been caught! I am really afraid of the impact it may s**** having on my job if they continue to call me here. If they cause me to lose my job - I will ***t them down and **** every single one of them!!!!!

I keep getting these calls too. I actually told him that he was a scam artist and that he was actually providing me with entertainment this morning. He ***g up on me. He asked me for my attorney's name. and they left messages on my work phone and on my house phone number.

These scam artists just called me.  They always call around the 15th and the last couple of days of the month.  Right around my payday.  They have hacked this information form internet sites where I have given the information probably for an online payday loan.  They have been calling me for over a year now with the same script each time.  I told them to put it all in writing and mail it and then and only then will I respond.  They won't do that because then they would incriminate themselves.  I have reported to the local attorney general's office but unless an actual transaction is made there is little they can do.  keep in mind they probably don't have your whole social security number just the last 4 digits and they will do every thing they can to get any account number that they can use to extract funds.  Do not fall for this.

This man works with a group of people who try scamming for money. It is called fishing. They hope to catch people at a weak moment so that way they will get there credit card numbers and hopefully pay there unmarked or untraceable account. He called under the name of Edward Jones and said I had 3 felonies a***nst me and that someone would show up at my house at 11 am to give me a summons and all the info I needed. He could not give me any info, the only info he had was my bank name from 5 yrs ago, a reference I had given yrs ago for a loan or job, and my last 4 digits of my social. Do not give them any info. NOTE this is not some child or ****** that has no life. This is a type of terrorism and these people know what they r doing. Luckily Americans are smarter than that. When I s****ed asking questions one would need to get the issue solved like a number I could call, or from where the loan was given he said he could not give me that info cause it interferrs with the case. Then he pretended to read me my affidavit and told me not to interupt several times. My ***her answered the phone and said I didn't live hear he got smart with my ***her and said may god have mercy on my soul. I called back and it was the same guy. I asked to talk to his superior and he told me no. I then got angry with him and he ***g up. I called the number back and it was disconnected. I called once more and it rang 3 times, beeped and a recorfing said in an middle eastern voice to try a***n later. This is no joke, if they cannot give u in depth info on the case, it does not exist. They will have little info on you such as last four of social and references, old bank names, and the ammount they say u borrowed is usually 1000 dollars and u now owe 5000. This is terrorism and I hope ur not blind to it. They will even threaten to call ur boss and threaten him. No financial company will ever threaten that. Courts handle everythin. Also no middle eastern accented man will have an american name. Edward jones and william jones are never an indian or eastern mans name. Just received the same call from Nancy Rice, White, so****ing or other. I receive Sooo many of these, plus they have my work number. **** irritating. Especially that it's a scam. Scares the beejeesus out of you.

So I received a call from 242-240-8567 on Sa****ay November 28,2010 the message they left said it was Jason black and i needed to call him back and if I didn't good luck and god bless-the # on my phone came up as 1-916-395-0000 which is a non working #.So I have received this same thing about 6 months ago so I knew it was a scam-although very scary to hear these a**holes try and make you believe you owe $.He did know my last 4 of my social but i told him that wasn't right on the last #.He said hold on and came back on saying oh yea there must of been a mistake.I love messing with someone that is messing with *****e big **** said i hope you have an attorney and i said for what he told me it was a criminal matter.I asked how much I owed and he didn't say that I owed anything.I was ready to tell him that I just hit the jack**** in Vegas and i would be sending him a check,lolI am calling my local sheriffs office and reporting this guy a***n.I sure hope know one falls for these asian speaking idiots

Its some pathetic looser with no life obviously! Do not even worry about it. The police said that has been happening a lot lately to people, scam callers. The guy is mentally ill and not all there, also not the smartest person since he is calling with a real number. I think that he is some ****** that still lives with his mother, the lady that leaves the threatening voice-mails.

This is an Indian sounding man leaving a message for someone no longer living at this location.  Threatening to call back with this being the last chance to live, or so****ing like that, could only understand about half of it.  He was was going by Alex Jean.

*** I just got the same phone call today from a guy with an Indian accent, named Charles. So apparently I am a primary suspect and have 3 criminal allegations a***nst me. This guy was calling me all kinds of names and was making ***ual comments. First, I got a voice mail around 1:40 pm from a lady called Veronica Alice, that this is a serious matter and they need to speak to my attorneys. So when I called back, apparently Charles picked up and was some wacko. The number is 424-240-8567, which is a land line located in Hawt****, Ca., and the provider is Royal Street Communications. This is not even a company. I reported this to the police department, because these people have all my information, including my Social Security Number.

The person called me back and was using offensive words and was calling me names, plus ***ually harassing me over the phone and telling me that he wants me. A lady named Veronica Alice left me a voice mail to call back that number. The guy that picked up sounds like he is from India, does not want to give me the name of the company. He said that the company's name is "First F*ck" and that the lady that called me is a "Les*ian"

this is a threatening call from a foreign person who always threatens jail timeDavid Williams is his name.  Same call about this time every month from same people with same MO. This is definitely a scam.
