Same old story.  These rogue "toll free" / "private name" / "CCS" / ad nauseam callers are telephone *********s, stalkers, harrassers, criminals.  Are some of them actually bill collectors or insurance agents?  More likely they are Big Brother "psy-ops" trainees, would be my guess.  Because who else would commit such unconscionable, unscrupulous and criminal acts en masse?  Ordinary bill collectors are not such nice people either, but usually they are working on commission for companies that are actually owed money by the debtor they are calling, threatening, and harrassing at all hours of the day.So why would any ordinary bill collectors or insurance agents chronically make malicious prank calls on such an apparently organized and well-finaced basis, tag-teaming, ping-ponging, from state to state? They s****ed calling us around February of this year, originating from Florida and Texas, allegedly, falsely, looking for some non-existent "nicholas thomas," and posing as bill collectors.  After several weeks of multiple harrassing calls per day from various out-of-state numbers, we got on the internet and reported them on several different websites, including this one.  Then we called our phone company and had the "distinctive ring" and other features added to our phone service as a discount-package deal.The rogue calls in February stopped after about a month, possibly because we stopped answering "toll free" calls altogether.  Hard to tell?  But the calls s****ed a***n several weeks ago, this time from different states, s****ing with Washington State.  My best advice to anyone getting harrassed by these rogue calls is to turn all your telephone ringers off except for the main telephone phone that you most frequently use.  And never under any cir***stances answer a "toll free" / "private name" or any other phone call like that, which by default makes a distinctive ring on our phone, which is set to ring at it's lowest volume.  If they call back more than once a day, turn off the ringer on your main phone and allow legitimate callers to leave messages on your voicemail, until the rogue calls stop coming in.  Thus far, none of the rogue callers have left voicemail, I'm guessing because they know that that could be used as evidence a***nst them in a lawsuit.  Because you can save messages in voicemail that reside on your phone company's servers, proving who called, when they called, and what they said.Our selective call blocking service only blocks up to 15 numbers at a time, and these rogue callers appear to have literally ***dreds, or even thousands, of phone numbers for every area code in the US.  So if you block one number they be sure to call you back from another number, and another, and another, until you've hit the 15 selective block limit.We can only hope that the afterlife holds so****ing very nasty for these rogue pranksters.  Or maybe their bad karma will catch up with them sooner than that?And by all means, if you have the time, please report the rogue callers on every website that allows such reporting.  Some people advise reporting them through the FCC, State boards of collection agencies, writing letters to the rogue caller's company, and so forth.  But that sounds like it could be more trouble than it's worth.  Completely ignoring them makes much more sense to me, although I have been using our selective call blocking service to block area codes and prefixes of these rogue callers.  I've had to block five of them in the last month.  We'll see if they expand their attacks, or give it up.

He likes to yell at his collectors for stuff that he does himself. His wife Stacey is equal as bad. She slept her way to the top of the food chain there. If you want to find most of these collectors just go to ****z poolhall or to Tulaip Casino. Its were they all ****out. If your really bored just go find them outside smoking on their breaks . You can miss them they all ****out right outside their office on Grand Ave Across the Street from the CO-OP. The parking lot with the ****py fence just north of their building on California is their personal lot for the collectors if someone feels the need to egg thier cars. November 18, 2009This telephone harrassment first s****ed about a year ago, where "CCS" and about two dozen other numbers from Florida, Texas, and elsewhere s****ed calling our residence four times a day and harrassing us about some bogus "Nicholas Thomas," and at all odd hours.We are listed in the white pages, and we have had this same home phone number for nearly twenty years. A simple reverse look-up on the "dexknows.whitepages.com" website produces our name and home address. These low life so- called "bill collectors," if that's what they really are, are deliberately rude, they never listen, and they make absolutely no sense at all if ever you make the naive mistake of trying to talk some sense to them, such as "there is no 'Nicholas Thomas' here, nor has there ever been a 'Nicholas Thomas' at this number. So please don't call here a***n." These numbskulls are either bored and unscrupulous bill collectors that just like harrassing people and getting them upset, or they work for some ******logical warfare division of the military. Best advice, tell them "Do not call this number a***n or we will report your number to the authorities." If they call a***n, tell them calmly, "we are going to report you to the police," then **** up immediately. And if they call a***n, which they probably will, tell them that "we are going to FILE A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT A***NST THE COMPANY AND THE AGENT WITH THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE BOTH IN YOUR STATE AND IN THEIR STATE." (I read that legal advice on another website comment, where you can file telephone harrassment complaints with your state Attorney General’s office on www.naag.org, and with the Federal Trade Commission on www.ftc.gov. Main thing is to remain calm and relaxed if ever you do talk to rogue "bill collectors." Perhaps their telephone harrassment campagnes are part of some "bill collector training program," to repeatedly call random numbers and incoherently harrass the respondents, to make sure that the 33% commission-only telephone harrassers are following their low life'd training program?  W***ver, or whatever, they are, they are trying to upset you. Don't let them. The more belligerent they get, the calmer and more jovial you get. S**** speaking nonsense to them in a happy and enthusiastic voice. Giggling manipulatively under your breath at them will really **** them off.  Sing your "ABC's" to them as if you were in kindergarten grade school. Whistle a well known song in their ear, like "When Johnny comes mar****g home a***n" etc. That's your way of letting them know that you "got their number." IOW, you're beating them at their own game. They don't want to hear your nonsense, any more than you want to hear theirs. I did this to them last time around, talking to them all goofy and nonsensical, and it made them angry and frustrated, and they stopped calling me for a whole year, i.e. until today.But after the last month-long harrassment ordeal from the CCI phone-clowns ad nauseam, we added caller id, call waiting and voicemail to our residential telephone service. This makes a special ringtone when incoming calls are from "toll free," "private name," and other such "spam" numbers. Blocking the rogue numbers is generally useless, because the harrassing callers usualy c****e the phones they are calling from. We just never answer "special ring" calls. And if they do leave a message, we simply delete the message without ever listening to it. Works like a charm. But sometimes my wife makes the mistake of picking up the phone too soon on "special ring" calls, if the tv's too loud, or if so****ing else is distracting her. She did it today, and now it's back to the old "nicholas thomas" illegal harrassment routine. I reminded her to never pick up on "special ring" calls under any cir***stances. And just let the unsolicited home-intrusion criminals eat static. They continue to call my cell phone for whomever owned the number before me, in excess of 3 years ago. Will not remove me from their list.

Same as a lot of these, LOTS of calls, no messages. When I called back they seem lest than interested in figuring out why they called me, and said they would not a***n. Go figure they still call daily (4 weeks now)

Got a call from these losers at Sentry Collections in April 2009 about a car loan through Wells Fargo that had been discharged in bankruptcy way back in 2005. Told them to go to*****. Since then I have dropped their calls into voicemail***** everytime they call. I'll give them an A for persistence though, 7 months without me answering or returning their calls once and they still call a couple times a week like clockwork. You would think they would cut their loses and give up. Oh well, no skin off my back, in fact it's kind of a game now to see how long they will go.

Keep calling about a debt that doesn't exist. They don't believe that I am not who they say I am, while they can't even call the right number... Day after day after day wasting my time and minutes.

A simple search of the Washington State website will give you the name of the corporation president.MICHAEL MATHIS  4722 176th St SEBothell  WA 98012  (425) 488-1144I am sure the listed phone number is never answered and probably goes straight to voice mail but it might be fun to call everytime they call yo****llow.com has a nice picture of his $750,000 home.  Times must be tough for him though since it was worth over 1 million a little over a year ago.Getting even is fun.  I was once receiving dozens of calls a day from a major credit card company trying to reach someone not living in my home.  I finally had enough and dug through the internet until I found so****ing useful.  Unfortunately, I was unable to find the CEO's home phone number but I did find the CEO's parents home phone number which was a Park Ave NY address.  The next time the yeah whos called they asked if so and so was there and I politely responded "No, but I have a number they can be reached at."  At which point I delivered the number for the CEO's ***her.  It was 8pm making it 11 pm in NY.  I never received another call from them.

I have outstanding credit and pay my debts on time. There must be more than one first and last name like mine. I wish they would quit calling I am not answering their caller unknown calls.

They are a debt collector that keeps calling asking for my looser ex because he nevered paid his tool bills. They called me when we were still together because he used my number as a reference, and now since he has a new number..they continue to call MINE!! I told them for the past 3 years now to stop calling me, this is my ex's debt.. call him. Oh, it makes me mad. I have been getting calls REPEATEDLY from this number asking for "so and so". Just kept ****ing up because there was no such person at our number.After viewing a website about this number I found out it belongs to Sentry Credit in Washington state. I called the number and held for a long time (about six minutes) and asked to be removed from their calling list. I was transferred to a nice young man who said he would remove our number. Hope it works!

These people have called my number over and over from 11/2008 on and I kept on telling them that the person that they are calling for don't live here and I don't even know of a person by that name. But yet they keep on calling "Claiming it's a computer that dials the number and they have no control over it. from what I can tell through research is that these people are 100% idiots and should have to pay $11,000.00 for each time they call according to the violation fee set forth by the www.donotcall.gov.

I looked the number up on the internet and it is listed in Everett WA under the acronym SCI. No information about the business is given. I refuse to incur a long distance charge for so****ing and someone I know nothing about. I am tired of getting calls from these people.

After receiving many calls on my unlisted cell from the number and no messages I did a web search, which reveals it is a telemarketer and/or debt collection agency. They finally called me tonight (I had a bad day and was reday to take it out on a telemarketer). ***g up on me the first time, asked for someone (who isn't me) the second. I promptly told them they had the wrong number, he insisted it was the right number for some guy's martial arts class and it was listed in the white pages. Told him a***n it was not correct, he then asked me if I taught martial arts. Told him no, he then ***g up.

I receive constant calls from SCI whick I stopped answering as they kep asking for my husband who is not the one that owes the money. The debt is my sons an I don't know where he is, he just happens to have the same name as my husband except for the middle inital. They feel they can harrase me for his bills.

It's actually "Sentry" not "Century"...calling id is SCI (Sentry Credit Services). Anyhow, claims I own money to US Bank. Untrue. Talked to US Bank. No record of it. I used to have a car loan with US Bank but it was paid off and over with years ago. In 2002. Even if it was valid (and its not) that is 6 years ago!

My ex husband already talked to them. They mailed a letter to his home but keep calling my home. This nitwit claims we owe money to US Bank which is NOT true. My ex refinanced his house with US Bank & he called them to ask about it (even though obviously they arent going to lend him money if he owes them a delinquent amount!). They have no record of it. Always save these messages!  And any letters you receive from them also.  You can sue them and get $1000 paid to you for violating the fair debt collection practice, even if you really do owe money to the creditor they're representing! The moment a lawsuit is filed, they can no longer contact you.  Plus, any attorney who would sue them would do it for no upfront cost to you because they know these are slam dunk cases and that they'll get their money from the lawsuit as well.

My only income now is a small disability check, which barely covers my utilities and a little food. My attorney advised me that I do not have to talk to anyone calling about any outstanding debt and if I receive anything re. going to court, etc., to contact her and she will****ist me with the matter. I just want to remind these collectors that not every person is a lazy deadbeat trying to ripoff the system. Sometimes there are cir***stances beyond our control. I never imagined that I would be unable to work at this time in my life. I had worked full-time while obtaining a college degree and thought I was going to have a successful career. My illness has robbed me of everything. Now I not only suffer from my illness, but also from severe depression and hopelessness due to my inability to provide for myself and my family.

Got a call from these worms.  They ask for V. N., I say you got the wrong number.  They say, is this so and so address.  I say, NO!  They say, how long have you had this number?  I say, quite a while.  She says, well he had this number listed as his at one time, so get ready for the calls to s**** coming.What the*****?  So he had this number listed at one time, now I have it, and somehow he is suppose to be living with me because he used to have this number?  If they know he HAD it at one time, don't they have common sense to realize that numbers get reassigned?  I have this number now, I live in a different address than he had listed, why keep calling me like I'm hiding this guy who owes you money?

They need to stop calling me now. They dont even have the right name. It's obvious its a collection call even though they dont say those words. Yeah and surely they would want to talk to the right person and stop calling the wrong person.  Wouldnt that make sense?  YOu can tell them its wrong and they keep calling and calling over and over regardless. Why is that?  Would it not make sense to find the person you are really wanting for the debt?  Why be rude and mean. WHy be harassment?  It makes more sense really to try to work with a person and be kind and then they pay the debt if possible.

Keeps calling asking for me by my former name. Not had that name in 3 years so I know this is an old debt that is past its life...have not incurred any debt in my former name in more then 8 years.

For the first comment, I think you should know that if a collector discloses information to the wrong person they can get into a lot of trouble. Nice try, but your high horse fell down.And mister "harassed"File a complaint with the FTC about the calls before 7 and after 9, but make sure to check the area code your phone is listed in. If you're listed somewhere earlier than you live, you might look into getting a new phone.However filing a complaint that they never tell you over VM what it's about would be just plain f***in silly. Claims to have my financial info and credit reports. claims he has me under surveillance. ongoing for more than a year. will not state nature of call or what account. management does not respond to my callback. nothing sent in writing. google searched phone # and found it belongs to a collection agency which has violated the fair credit act with many others. a class action suit is needed. caller uses different cloaking mechanisms when calling, appears to be taking it personally with much rancor & anger

I had spoke to someone from this company almost 2 years ago and he wanted $13000 out of me. For what?! I told him I needed him to hold for a second so I could stand up to pull the money out of my****! NOw I keep getting phone calls from them, but they refuse to say why they are calling. I even got a call today and the woman used my married name...I didn't even legally c****e it yet! What is going on?!

Caller works at collection agency and is ex-girlfriend. She used the company's resources to locate my work phone number and harrass me at my job. I believe this is violation of privacy.

They Kept calling regadless of explanation of time.

My husband and I keep getting calls at my home number from this company. The person on the other end of the line is very rude and even threatened to send the "Rangers" to our home. She leaves rude messages and calls my husband at work and leaves messages even though he told her he couldnt get calls at work or risk losing his job. She says she is going to turn our "file" over to her superiors and then it will be out of her hands. She says we think we are in control of this situation but in fact she is the one with all the control.Apparently this TWIT thinks I'm as ****** as she is. I have every message recorded. This company has many numbers...beware.
