The caller said someone in Texas had done many illegal things and was using my SS number to do it all. Asked if the police had contacted me yet. Said my SS number was shut off from use all over the nation. Asked for basic information and only asked for the last 4 of my social in order to continue to speak of what was going on. Said the conversation was being recorded by law enforcement agencies so to be polite. Gave false identification name and his false ID number with SS. Added at the end that I should go to the authorities and turn myself in to eliminate myself as the Texas Suspect. Freeze your credit and stop your credit cards.
