I didn’t believe him and ***g up while he put me on hold to get the “counselor.” There’s no way the Dept of Ed would cold call loan holders to volunteer to relive their debt. Then I got an immediate call back from another number from some guy who said he was the counselor I was waiting on from the first call, and he was with some company called AD Student Services. I’m going to put that phone number in the Number Guru app next. It was 949-416-3119.
