I got a call today (1-10-11) from the same number from someone telling me I had won a drawing for $2.5 million.  He wanted to send some people over to get $50 from me for processing the $2.5 million check I was to receive.  He claimed to be calling from Las Vegas on a satellite phone (his explanation as to why the call was so choppy).  Anyone who falls for a scam like this needs to have their head examined!

I answered it as I live in the same city that my caller ID said the call was coming from. It was a heavily accented man saying my husband had applied for car credit (which he didn't) and that they needed to verify his social security number and place of business. I told them that it was obviously a scam and I was going to report them to the police and they ***g up.
