It's Sa****ay night and at 11PM received a call from # 440-290-2525, this woman with an Indian accent wanted to speak to me about our long distance contract and I told them that 11PM is not a time to call and that I already had my Long Distance Company and ***g up!
These are call centres in india or philippines. they are by companies who are in turn hired by bell, rogers, telus and other phone companies. They only get paid when they complete a switch and will say anything to get that switch even to the point of lying to you.DO NOT give your name address or phone number to these people you will find out quickly that your phone company has c****ed and you will spend hours c****ing it back
This guy just called me and asked if I was Mr. (insert my girlfriends last name). If this guy is a scammer he's a completely incompetent one. His English is not great and I could barely make him out. He manage to get out the question "what countries do you call" I said none, and he ***g up.
I got a call from this number on May 28, 2010, a rep told me that they were calling on behalf of Bell, Telus, Rogers and (some other company) to communicate an important message to all clients. He said that there will be a distruption in the phone lines in mississauga and they will be disconnected in a half hour, to ensure that I will be reconnected to he wanted me to confirm my Name, Address and Telephone provider service provider. It sounded odd considering that I know bell owns its own lines. After a long confrontation I ***g up mid way and called Bell to confirm that the phone service will not have a distruption and to no loger pick up the phone. This ****s that the scammers can't be tracked. Happy to know that people share their stories!Hope this helps!
Hi i found out who these guys are basically theyre goal is trick you into swit****g to long distance i repeat do not give your personal info because they will use that info to call ur provider and as soon as u knoe ur bill will be stacked up...... they asked me a special code called "england" which the other person told me before they recalled . they ask u for that special code then they record you sayin it and they wont get in trouble when they add long distances ..... { **** i dont know what i said but as soon as you give ur personal info ur *****ed unless u tell rogers which is my company to add another security like a pin so when this person ads that in ur account rogers will ask for it.These people are scammer What ever you do not give your info before they called me they said they are bell phone representive tryin to fix your phone line but at the ending when they asked whats ur company provider i was *****ed
A Customer called my office and stated that this guy has been calling her, letting her know about some c****es on her long distance features, looks like this guy not much to do but to call people and annoy.Do not pay attention and do not provide any info to him, looks dangerous...
Just got a call from this number -- not sure what it was about. The caller wanted to know about my overseas calling, "...to France or Spain...". I told him I don't call overseas. He said, "Don't lie, ma'am." Me: "Pardon me?!?" He: "Don't lie, ma'am, everyone calls overseas." "Not me," I said. "Well, OK, I believing you.... have a good day" he responded. Strange. Funny, too.
This has been happening for weeks now. This guy, struggling to speak in english, pretending to be different people, needs to "refresh my telephone line". I quickly googled this number and saw this site as I was talking to him. Imagine my horror. I slowly kept my information away and he was getting real upset, real fast. Not courteous Bell Ca***a service is it? I ***g up and called Bell. Apparently my line was fine.
I got phn call from this number several times last month and a***n today. The guy said he is calling from Vancouver, although the area code is from Ohio. He said he is calling to all bell/telus/rogers customer to verify address and they found problem in my internet line, so it would be off and they need to refresh, etc etc. I said my internet is working fine, I don't find any problem, so I don't want to tell my address. He then just **** up.
