How can we stop these people? I'm on a no call list, not that it seems to matter.

Illegal activity from a debt collecting agency..so far they all all times of the day and late at night..they told me "we have our way's to obtain personal info"..I ***g up on them.

They call me for my ex-boyfriend i haven't seen in 5 years, my son-in-law who has a different name from  me, but used to live at my address and even my 11 year old granddaughter.  They seem to be getting my cell phone number from the address and call for anybody who has EVER shared an address with me, even years ago.

just wondering... what is the statutory limit for them to stop calling? they call all the time and I owe nothing! I dont have any CC's or old accounts!

Straight to voicemail these s***bags...I'm really tired of them calling for my EX-WIFE's debt!!!!

Just s****ed getting these calls how long does it take before that company writes it off as a loss?

When these come to my cell, I save the number as "Bill Collector1", "Bill Collector2", etc, so I don't have to wonder next time who called and did not leave a message.

not to sound rude but people who are getting these calls who do owe back bills may only have those bills because loss of income

got a call for my wife louann, also  Wright is not even her last name anymore. I told the caller that she was not home, she working a double today and caller asks a***n (she's not home) after i told her the frist time caller she then  askes is this her husband and i said yes this is her husband she then says " Mr Wright could you have her call me back and I said that's not my last name she's like but you said she's ur wife i said yes but wright is not my last name when she asked me what my last name was i told her that was none of her business....lol  she then asked if i had a pen for phone nomber and i said ithats ok Ihave you number on my caller ID  , she then said that's not the number to reach me.   *** does she think I'm F'n ******? also when i sasked her if this call pertains to sears she said "NO IT ISN'T, GOOD DAY" and ***g up on me

I've received numerous Calla from this company.  They come in under about 7 different numbers and really wish they would quit calling.

Yes, they are sneaky with all the numbers they call from.  And with my provider I can only block 5 at a time!  I'm looking forward to the day when the limitation is up so I can write them and tell them to stop bugging me!  For now, I just don't answer ANY number that I don't recognize, especially from all those different area codes.  Then I save the ones that I can't block, and set the ringer for that caller to "silent" so at least I don't have to hear them bugging me.  Because of course, they never leave a message.

i got a call from this number of 440-580-0720 and they call me a lot this company. i mean there are like ten websites online that i know of that people use to complain about people that harass them and they claim they have no debt or that the debt is 10 years old and i dont know what to think, they would not bother random people and for what? debt that is ten years old? maybe if you paid your bills no one would bother you people in the first place. i understand that they should not after that long but i dont know the whole story of what happend to you all. and i admit i had debt issues to deal with in the past few years so im not gonna say they call me for no reason but it is bothersome what they do and how they try to trick people into answering the calls they make. you can stop this if you write a letter to the company and show them proof that you owe them nothing or that you want them to stop. im sorry you all deal with it but i just see so many people complain on these sites and it makes me think people got harrassed so much they needed to make a site to complain on. sorry to all that have no debt or maybe has issues with the company to deal with.

Just a call from them.  No answer when I picked up.  They called back almost right away and I let the ma****e pick up.  No message.

They must be desperate. They called my ***nd new cell phone with a new telephone from 2nd day I purchased. Portfolio Recovery is a ****** operation that works like that Nigerian e-mail scam:  Hire enough desperate people to make calls to enough numbers and hope they collect so****ing, then pay them straight commission, since no collection means no income.  They use dozens of different phone numbers to try and avoid detection.Next time these clowns get through to you on the phone, ask the rep "Can't you find a more dignified way to make a living?".  Like, maybe...pros***ution or drug dealing?

I'm  at work and at 9:26 in the morning, they're calling me at work. That's harassment. I told them to remove this number from their records and anything they have to ask about an OLD bill (past the statuatory date) put it in writing, otherwise I'm reporting them to my State Attorney General's office.
