Leave a CommentCalled about my WIndows program on my pc. Wanted me to open the computer. I have had this happen before by a company calling themselves Tech Kangaroos. They scammed me out of $650. I blocked this caller.
Computer scammer
Definite spammer/scammer. Went along with it for a while until they asked me to open a web site from a Run window. Had to stop there. They are good, but don't have all the details, like how they****ociated your phone number with your computer.
I received a call stating my Windows program on my computer was sending messages that it was about to crash. I said I do not have a computer. He stated it a***n. I asked how did you get my name and phone number, he said I registered it with Windows I said nope I did not have this phone number then. Let me speak to your manager. He ***g up.
got a random call from this number, I said*****o, there was a few second pause then a heavy accented male asked if I was (obvious female name). I said no, that is my girlfriend then the call was ended by him. I called the number back to see *** was going on and the phone wont ring...
A Maryland number called me and "John" from India told me that my network security has failed. When I asked him to tell me who my Internet Service Provider was, he got upset and told me that network security has nothing to do with internet. Obviously this is a scam. They'll want you to make your computer available to them, and I'm sure you'll end up being talked into giving them access, and they will try and steal your information. This isn't a new scam.
