DO NOT PAY PRS OR LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU. DO NOT ADMIT WHETHER THE DEBT IS YOURS--SAY YOU DON'T REMEMBER IT. Send them a cease and desist contact letter stating they may not contact you any longer. Send it certified return receipt. If they continue you can sue THEM for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices act and get awarded damages ($$). Also, you can easily force them to remove any dings to your credit report if they are reporting on your CR just by writing a letter. They are a debt collection agency, listed on Nasdaq stock exchange under symbol PRAA. They were trying to collect a debt from my ex-wife. I've been divorced for over 10 years..

Called on a Sunday - did not appear to phase them when I objected to this. Attempting to collect on questionable debt? Said I would verify the debt with the debtor described - argued they would merely send me back to them. Informed them if they called again they would receive a cease and desist letter - again did not appear to phase them. Claimed the debt was five years old - even if it were valid, it would be beyond the statute of limitations.

We just received a call from these idiots! They insisted that we had a delinquent Dominion Power bill from 2007. My husband, a police detective for 25 years, refused to provide them any information. The caller informed him that she "would keep calling" until the matter was cleared up. DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE CRIMINALS! If you are unsure about what to do, contact the company directly.
